Does anyone have a spiritual gift? Maybe wisdom like Solomon's, strength like Sampson's, healing capabilities like the Son of Man? Maybe not to that extreme but on some level what are your gifts.

Yes, the fruits of the spirit like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, selflessness, and self control are a deep rooted nessesity in following the narrow path but I just wanna hear about, ya know, "out there" stuff.

Why? Because I have a "gift " that I don't want, like I don't know why I still have it if I don't do anything with it and it bothers me that it will probably go off again and I just want to evade it.....is there no way to lose it? Well I know losing the HS through disobedience but I mean without doing that lol, I already prayed the first times but it is still there as time told.

My gift is: I'm always right, but no one ever believes me when I tell them something which always turns out to be right. Occasionally, after the fact, they will say I was right. But next time, they won't believe me again.

Paul spoke of spiritual gifts and some "churches" teach of them. But understanding is the greatest gift I have encountered.

1 Corinth 14:
12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.

14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

Understanding comes from gnosis (knowledge of/from the Spirit).

The Fruits of the Spirit that you mentioned (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) are not the same as the spiritual gifts (apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelist, etc.).

My family has spiritual gifts. It seemed to skip over my sister. My mother has it the strongest, then my brother, my other brother, and then myself. I wouldnt call it gifts but just weird things we dont talk about given the views behind it. Its similar to what you hear of folk traditions and religions that use energy and chakras etc. Its considered new age and dismised in the states, unlike other countries, so I rarely talk about it.

As for walking on water and turning water to wine, I did have one of those life floaters you put on your feet and balance yourself crossing water. I do sometimes make passion tea that in many cases turns the water to look like blood. Dont know if that counts.

Curse of the know it all lol, that is quite the burden i bet but I mean to be right all the time does not mean you have to correct everyone....or does it?? You feel you must?

I don't want to say.....until you say first! Lol, it's not fair if I tell and you don't. Thing is I don't want to get if off my chest, I just want it to go away, I don't think it would help to say exactly what it is, I can say though its like being in the minority report (?) Lol, I only ever saw some of the show (was really good) nvr saw the film.

The Fruits of the Spirit that you mentioned (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) are not the same as the spiritual gifts (apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelist, etc.).

I got prophecy.

Whatever, potato patada, I'll bet it's the same meaning guised in a different vernacular in a thesaurus somewhere. I was just using it as an example of what I don't wanna hear.....oh wow prophecy? I'm surprised you arnt being persecuted like all the good ones, don't worry you'll get there. Please share when you get a prophecy.

Someone asked me the other day how I was able to be so patient with everyone - I told them it was easy - just learn how to daydream, how to go places in your head when you are waiting for something or someone, and then it does not feel like waiting at all. Absent minded and disconnected = patient??

I think you can take any personality trait and call it a "gift" if you word it correctly... you can also turn anything you want into a curse, it all depends on if you want to be an optimist or a pessimist about yourself I guess.

You mean like pay it forward the movie...i don't think that can happen with spiritual gifts.....just the "fruits" of the spirit.

Oooh that is a good one, I would rather have it and wisdom too. I will keep praying for it but I wonder how many can a person have? Like the HS comes in portions depending on how clean our "houses" are and how much they are ready to recieve of Him in our "church." I wonder what's the highest percentage of the HS in someone lol.

Fruits are born of gifts and talents.

A 6th sense? being prophetic? Seeing beyond the here and now? Much of the future is what you make of it - the best gift is not knowing or prophesying what will happen, but instead controlling what will happen - make your own future, deciding what goals you have, and work towards your goals.

Treat people well, with trust and respect → usually they will respond by behaving well.
Define goals, and have confidence that you can reach those goals, work hard → reach goals

No mysticism needed, the realization that you can control your surroundings through work and how you act - that is the post powerful thing anyone can have I think.
