TNG pour moi.

Though I watched each episode of the original when it first started, it didn't age well. Even back then, the sets were pretty cheesy, at least that is what I thought as a 10 year old. :) I always did like Spock though.

I loved Picard, Data and almost the whole cast on TNG, plus the stories were much better.
Deep Snooze Nine never really made it for me, so much so that I never gave Voyager a chance.

I felt like DS9 was a complete bore as well. Enterprise wasn't much better. But I did really get into Voyager. Janeway was awesome, especially when it came to the Borg. If you have the opportunity to watch some of the episodes, just give it a chance.

I do like Kate Mulgrew, so if I do get the chance to see it, I cut it some slack. More Borgies you say.... hmmmm....

Voyager was set in the Delta quadrant, which was supposedly the main area where the Borg were from. She dealt with them more times than Picard. And she managed to do so without being assimilated. ;)

Actually, she did get assimilated. Twice.

I tend to go for DS9 more, but it's a huge toss up between that and TNG though.

TNG with Voyager being a favourite as well. Patrick Stewart was great as Picard, I liked the team in general, Geordi, Data, Worf. I liked Q in TNG. and yes I realize there are appearances of some of the characters in Voyager as well.

I had a tie between ST & STTNG, but picked the latter for my single vote.
The first was crude but more daring.
The 2nd was polished, but started the soap operaish trend which culminated in the usually tedious DS9.

Miscellania:
Shatner over-acted but ranged from competent to campy.
Stewart's over-acting had a repressed & weak quality. He almost had me rooting for the Borg.
Jonathan Frakes acting skills.....geeze......he makes me think of lumber.
Data & Spock were interesting & cool.
That ship's counselor.....I wanted to cover that skin tight jump suit with a Hawaiian shirt.
Worf didn't beat enuf people up.
Q was right to disrespect humans....especially those over-emoting whiners on the Enterprise.
The best episode was when Captain Jellico (Ronny Cox) replaced Picard, & actually ran the ship as I'd expect a real captain would.
STTNG was also known as "Wesley Crusher Saves The Galaxy....Again!"
Most STTNG fan clubs have considered naming their club "Die, Wesley! Die!".

Old school original series for me. TNG was a bit too lovey dovey for me to make it a favorite but I did enjoy it. I thought Enterprise was a good series too.

Actually, she got assimilated at least twice from what I remember. But both times it was part of her plan.

Some plan...

Phase 1: Get assimilated
Phase 2: ???
Phase 3: Profit

It is tough to chose between TOS and TNG...both had their own strengths, weaknesses, and charms.

Lol at the Gorn video. You know cracked.com had an article about terrible action star fighting...heres what the writer had to say about William Shatner's fighting style:

Bill Shatner invented entirely new ways to look ridiculous while punching, and he did it all at one-quarter speed. He threw judo chops so slowly against space monsters that he was already on
T.J. Hooker
by the time they connected. They say the Gorn still roams the Vasquez Rocks, waiting for his cue to duck

See, that was more to my recollection. I couldn't recall it being out of her control. Whereas Picard was assimilated against his will for purposes of the Borg, Janeway pretty much didn't have it done to her as much as she allowed it for her own purposes. Hell, she even worked with the Borg as allies when it suited.

I loved DS9. I loved the political intringue, and the whole arc of the Dominion War was freaking awesomely done.

Second: TNG. Then TOS, Voyager, and Enterprise, in that order.

The Next Generation as far as the series. After that I would have to say the original series because I could never get into any of the others.

The feature films starring the original cast, specifically II, IV and VI, were the best. First Contact with the TNG cast was the only feature I really cared for outside those with the original cast. The revision with Abrams are okay.

Enterprise did it for me.

It pulled everything together. Must have been tricky writing for a series with so many details set in place, and you need to write the plot into them.

Love that science officer!
