Still think it's an exaggeration?

It was supposed to be "global" warming - global excludes "freezing in places".
No it doesn't. Warming the atmosphere means that many places go into a deep freeze. That is why global warming and global climate change are two different things with dramatically different outcomes for the human family.

Yes, that's why the narrative has change from "global warming" to "climate change".

The whole global warming conspiracy theory is a joke!

Does Al Gore walk his talk, and live a lifestyle that is more minimal than the average person in the world?

Oh yes! he cries himself to sleep about baby polar bears every night! :tearsofjoy:

So am I, so point me to leaders in this movement who walk their talk.
I would ask @Quintessence .
I am old and childless and cynical. I don't think anyone is going to do anything substantial. I think we will die off in our own waste products like the yeast in a wine bottle.
Only with nuclear weapons.

Global warming policy promises a vast unprecedented transfer of wealth and power from private citizens to politifcians

You don't see any teensy weensy conflict of interest here?
Far and away, the biggest conflict of interest is between current humans and future humans.
Far and away. And I don't think that humans are smart enough to resolve that conflict.

Largely because their Scriptures. The scriptures were written by primitive folk and even if God wanted an 11th Commandment "Thou Shalt Not Despoil or Overpopulate Creation", He couldn't get a Word in edgewise. Too many human prophets claiming to speak for Him.

We agree in that principle also. Even though socialism has killed more people in a recent couple of generations, than every religious war in the history of humanity combined, some still seek to take our children's rights and freedoms and prosperity and sign them over to politicians.

To compare climastrology to a religion is unfair - to religion. True religion acknowledges personal belief, faith. Blind faith is faith which does not recognize itself, but calls all other beliefs 'denial of unquestionable truth' and hence demands compliance by political force and oppression.

This is, unambiguously, always the most dangerous belief.

I insist on personal freedom, personal inquiry, and personal knowledge and realization (many reasons as to why I'm Buddhist) - not religious dogma with forced obedience & tithes.
