Texas makes a law that aborted fetuses have to be buried.

This is insane. Who is going to pay for this? The women who need abortions, no doubt, and it'll just price them out of being able to get a safe, legal one. Indeed, that's probably the primary focus of this legislation - to make abortions unsafe for women - because this mandatory burial/cremation of foetuses doesn't apply to home abortions.

Well, doh.
I didn't vote for Trump. But Trump picked, out of all the possibilities, a VP who did advocate exactly that.

It was passed to make it way higher for women to get abortion. They are not making women who have abortions at home pay for it.

Maybe home abortions with the pill to have abortions will go up.

So your just concerned with babies being buried with respect? Your not trying to keep abortions from happening?

Well I'm sure you won't mind women having abortions at home then? Hey if some good funeral homes that are prochoice happen to be donating free funerals and burying for them you will be fine with that.

Man Texas sucks.
I'm very liberal, and a Libertarian pro choice, but I have been here my whole life.

I'm very use to as a Zen Buddhist Universalist being taught about Jesus and have my sisters witness to me. I have had many friends who do and some who have started fights with me.

I let it roll off me mostly. I cant do much outside of agreeing that we pray for each other. But when I go to my UU church or Zen group then I can relax.

It will impose a considerable financial burden on the facilities and an emotional stress on the women. And that is the point of this law. They are trying to make it financially impossible to run an abortion clinic.

Doubtful on the considerable financial burden, due to precisely what the article states. Also, women don't have to be there for burial or cremation.
Little to no financial burden. There are finances associated with remains regardless. I'm not under the impression there will be some full blown funeral ceremony.

I'm not conservative, but I'm pro-life. That said, I'm against banning abortion, and also don't think this law is a good idea, tbh. No one should be forced to have a burial after an abortion, my opinion. I remember this being a talking point during Trump's campaign, but this was quick. Was this law already in process?

Who already pays for the disposal of the remains?

No one is being forced to attend a burial.
