The awful Education system of the US

Oh, get off that hobby horse. You have NO idea what teachers and students have to deal with in the US education system, if the only problem you see is that a bunch of us believe in the Young Earth Creationist view of the universe.

Good grief, some of the best educated and most productive people in history have done so. Get over it already. First, teach 'em all to read and do sums, THEN worry about whether they agree with you religiously.
YEC is not something that is agreed "religiously." It is simply false, and therefore an affront to basic science -- and that should not be something that any school deserving the name should tolerate.

And just how much do teachers freaking want?

It was already $600 billion in 2015.

How the United States Spent $600 Billion on Schools - Education Writers Association

But of course billion with a big B isn't enough.

For the fifth consecutive year more and more billions of dollars were poured into the coffers....

U.S. School Spending Per Pupil Increased for Fifth Consecutive Year

Now socialist Elizabeth Warren wants to raise it even further.... 800 Billion

Bloomberg - Are you a robot?

So tell me, what is the magic number to satisfy the sucking black hole of education?
And yet, to succeed in the knowledge economy (and this is only to get much, much more important) quality education is going to be increasingly important. What's success worth, on a national basis?

Oh, that's funny. IOW, you're saying republicans are undereducated? Uh, no... That's not true actually. In fact, it's the opposite of true. ;)
So you believe Republicans to be over-educated do you. Think these Trump Supporters (Republicans) are over-educated?

Perhaps you do.

Well if it can make you feel even better libertarians (that is, in this context, people who are economically conservative or very pro-capital) and socially liberal (so very pro human rights and individual freedom) are the most educated demographic in the US. :p
Meh....I don't believe that anyone (including me) thinks more highly
of me because libertarians in general might be more educated.
Libertarians are a feckless bunch anyway, eh.

What can be rejected is theory masquerading as science. No one should accept science fiction as fact.
Demonstrating that your grasp is consistent with the educational problems under discussion. "Theory masquerading as science?" Quantum theory is just that -- a theory. One that works so well that it gave us the ability to do MRI scans. And ToE is so incredibly well attested -- and also works so well -- that it is in its broadest outline equivalent with fact.

"No one should accept science fiction as fact?" Well, one should at least be able to tell the difference. And the difference between science fiction and scientific theory.

What amazes me is all the cellular mini-mutations that would have to occur in order for something intricate like an eye or a wing to develop. It just seems odd that all these seemingly useless mutations would occur prior to even an eye being usable, or a wing being capable to fly.

...it seems strange that preperatory mutations such as creating nerve endings that connect the brain to the wing, and the fact that muscle tissue just "happened" to grow there to move the wing -- We're literally talking about millions or billions of micro-mutations, all happening in just the right order. It's insane.
The only "insane" thing is your argument. This is a massive strawman. It makes more than one incorrect assumption. For example you assume that sight was a goal. There is no goal to evolution. There is merely reaction. You should realize that this sort of evolution is very well understood. Would you care to learn?

Are you grandstanding, or is there a point to this?
You made an incorrect claim. And since you do not seem to like to do your homework I did yours for you this time. That article shows that the more educated a person is the more likely he is to vote Democratic. In other words the poster your responded to when he implied that the Republican party depends upon the ignorance of its voters.

We get so much anecdotal evidence around here from so many of the posters, it's hard to tell what's real and what's not. Time to put up or shut up.
No, the post that you responded to noticed the inability of certain posters to support their claims. Or in other words to do their homework. I have a feeling that if everyone did their homework there would be far fewer Republicans these days.

Where did I say there was a goal to evolution..? Hmm? I understand evolution quite clearly.

I'm not interested in your tit for tat nonsense.

Your post implied it . One does not have to openly make statements all of the time.

And your post that I quoted proves that you have an extremely poor understanding of it. That is why I asked you if you wished to learn.

Please, you keep making rather ignorant claims. You do not check the facts first. When others tell you that you need to support your claims you run away or demand that they do your homework for you. This time I did your homework for you to show that you were wrong and you were still not satisfied. It appears that being right does not matter to you. Others can see that too. How are you going to convince anyone if you can't support your claims? The only people that will side with you are those that wish to remain ignorant themselves.

I understand evolution as it's taught. I am, however, free to have opinions of my own, such as consciousness being a Natural, and even Universal law.

Consciousness and its Place in Nature
No, trust me. You really do not. Your post on eye evolution proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

But since you claim to understand in your own words describe how an eye evolved.

And was that paper a joke? What point was there in posting such drivel?

Nobody knows what you're talking about.. It was @Father Heathen who made the claim originally, and then @Shadow Wolf who carried it -all without sources... Yet you deceitfully want to throw it all in my lap, and point to me as the culprit.

LOL... Whatever. Just more tit for tat garbage as usual from you.
