'Prayer' is an old-fashioned word and probably puts people off, so maybe a better term for it is "thought-pressure".
If our reality is just an illusion or dream, maybe it's worthwhile trying to affect it by thought-pressure?
In fact if we regard Jesus as a 'Master of the Art of Dream Manipulation', that'd explain how he was able to bend "reality" to produce what people regarded as his 37 'miracles'
Furthermore he said that WE could do it too, and that we could even "move mountains" IF we believed we could do it..:)
When Neo tried the 'Jump Program' in The Matrix, he flopped because he didn't believe he could do it-

"Have you ever had a dream Neo that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?"- Morpheus in The Matrix

"All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream"- Edgar Allen Poe

"You can be in my dream if i can be in your dream" -Bob Dylan

"We are such stuff as dreams are made on" -The Tempest

"Strawberry Fields...nothing is real" - The Beatles

"Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one'' -Einstein

I think the miracles were meant to be things that we could copy right about now to prove the E.T.s were and are in charge, to motivate us to prepare that we might survive the catastrophies in Revelations. Oh and happy 200 posts.

Oh, Katzpur, I see you are Mormon! Just go to scriptures.lds.org and type in "devil hell" as your search terms and you'll see what I mean.
I did so, and I couldn't find anything that pertains to your statement, "The devil has no space craft however; the devil resides in hell to torture."

Get me off of this planet
Why yes I do want my own personal space craft, and a new R6.

What type of technology are we talking about? They don't look to have propulsion
systems so it must be some other technology utilizing another force like magnetism.

But I remain skeptical on the existence of advanced species introvertly experiencing Mankind.
We've got to get these guys on the ground and give them the whole experience, then take their technology.

I've been contemplating channeling Satan and requesting information on it.

Incidentally once while camping alone at night in a remote field i had a weird dream in which I was out of the tent and following an alien monk-like figure towards a clump of trees, and there seemed to be some sort of craft in the tress. There the dream ended.
I woke up fine next morning as usual and noticed a bruise on my shin, it wasn't painful to the touch and I had no idea how I'd got it.
Maybe I was abducted in the night and they drilled into my shinbone to extract DNA. Or maybe it wasn't a bruise but a pain-killing antiseptic stain?
It faded out over the next week or so.
I later wrote an article about the incident for internet UFO forums-
------------------------------------------------------

THE SPALDING INCIDENT (Lincolnshire, England, 1998)
I camped for the night just behind this hut on the right (this is a more recent pic but nothing has changed over the years)-

Below-This is the grove of trees that contained the 'craft' in my 'dream'-

The incident never left me traumatised or stressed in any way, and no 'flashbacks' or whatever.
Blue dots mark the campsite on both maps-

General view below shows the campsite (yellow dot) just behind the hut, and the grove (circled in yellow) to which i followed the 'monk' towards a craft in the trees in my 'dream'-

Note that if the devil doesn't leave hell, he has no reason to have a space craft.

2 Nephi 2:29 - It is quite clear that hell is the devil's kingdom.

D&C 88:113-if the devil's armies are the host of hell, he leads them in hell. The battle with Michael is the battle for souls from earth. Satan is the one with boots on the ground though.

Alma 54:12, 2 Nephi 9:19, 2 Nephi 28:23 - the devil goes along with hell.

Alma 48:17 - the power of the devil is the power of hell.

2 Nephi 28:22 - "grasps them with awful chains, of whence there is no deliverance" - sounds like they're doomed to hell.

Alma 30:60 - the devil drags people down to hell. This is not literal; he gets them to belong themselves in hell. Alma 12:11 supports this.

2 Nephi 9:26 - That awful monster is both hell and the devil; hence they belong together.

2 Nephi 26:10 - If you yield to the devil you go to hell.

Satan is the one fighting on earth, but he is fighting for them to belong to the devil.

As for torture, I think it's quite clear that there is torture in hell.

Your understanding of the Mormon concept of who the devil is and what hell is is clearly lacking. But since this is the Alien-based religion DIR, I'll just leave you to discuss Alien-based religions with somebody else. Your comments about Mormon doctrine are irrelevant here anyway.

I don't believe in the supernatural. I want an explanation of all scriptures in a scientific way. Aliens are scientific to me. Just because you can't see what I'm saying doesn't mean it's not true. I will not insult you; have a nice time. If you don't want further discussion that is OK too.

These verse interpretations are very clear to me.

I would like to point out that my views have been "challenged" three times on this thread, by "NewGuyOnTheBlock," "TDz86", and "katzpur." I was accused of being unscientific, insane, and now spacey about Mormonism. Despite these character assassination attempts, these three haven't pointed out anything that was an actual challenge to my message.

I challenge you all to contest my message instead of attack the messenger. "Katzpur," with all your posts you are obviously quite the expert on Mormonism. However, you might be surprised at how much I have learned about it. How about pick one of those verses and we'll see what it means?

For all of you just joining in, the scriptures listed can be found from doing a search for "hell devil" at scriptures.lds.org.

Well, you're looking for something you're not going to find.

Just because you can't see what I'm saying doesn't mean it's not true.
I'm not even sure what you're saying, so I definitely can't say whether you're right or wrong.

I will not insult you; have a nice time.
Thank you. I appreciate that.

If this thread were not in a DIR forum, I would be happy to. Any discussion of Mormon theology does not belong in another religion's DIR.

These verse interpretations are very clear to me.
I'm sure they are. That doesn't mean you understand them the way a Mormon would.

Actually, I never accused you of being "spacey" about Mormonism. I simply said you are not as informed on the subject as you believe you are.

If you want me to debate Mormon theology, you'll have to either start a new thread or ask that this one be moved to a debate forum. You're kind of a newbie here, so it's possible you don't understand the rules governing the DIR forums. As a Mormon, I am not permitted to debate with you on this particular forum.

how about "The devil has no space craft however; the devil resides in hell to torture." in science and religion under religious debates?

Sounds good to me. Just a heads up, though... I'm not going to be able to be online much more today until late this evening, so if you don't get any replies from me, please don't assume I'm ignoring the thread.

well heads up it's there. I've been Raelian over 6 years now and I've been on this small thread since October. Maybe it's time for me to step up.

I sometimes wonder if Shakespeare had a close encounter and left little clues in his plays to hint at it, like in this extract from The Tempest where sorcerer Prospero addresses the spirits and elementals-
"You demi-puppets that by moonshine do the green sour ringlets make" (The Tempest)
could refer to robots (demi-puppets) operating from a UFO parked in the crops at night, where it leaves a circle made "sour" by residual radiation..:)
