then there must have been a beginning. So, how did it start? Where is a natural science explanation for the beginning (big bang)?

And God's actions must've had a beginning. God must be part of time since he's acting in a progression of actions (events). God could not have acted in any kind of "Now" before "Now" existed. Time must exist before causes can exist and events can exist.

Time did not exist before God created the universe. Even science acknowledges that time began with the big bang. Yes, in the material world, time must exist before causes, but God is eternal and therefore not subject to laws of the universe.

The universe is not God. There are those who believe nature is God, I suppose that is what you propose. If you make something, do you become your creation? Do you cease to exist when you've made it? God created the universe, but He's independent of his creation.

To bad you can't go back in time and tell all those Jews and their prophets they're out of touch. Oh, maybe you can do it today. Inform Israelis they have a homeland based on mythology. That's a big mountain to climb, convincing all those Jews and Christians to give up their belief in the Lord God.

The fact that so much attention has been directed toward Israel, a small nation, is evidence of God's influence in the world. It is not a coincidence that Old Testament prophets predicted that God's chosen people would return to their land. It's direct evidence for the Lord God.

If evidence isn't actually evidence, that would mean we are blithering idiots with no sense of reality, and in that case none of this stuff really matters anyway since we won't ever know anything, so might as well let scientists at least pretend they are dealing with actual evidence if only for the reason that it feels good when you think you're finding things out.

I follow you. I hate how some religious followers have perverted the term crossing scientific lines with it. These theist don't understand the scientist involved in defining nature were often theist themselves.

I may not know a lot about science or mathematics. But i can tell when something doesn't seem right. The only thing you can really trust is your gut feeling but even with that can be wrong at times.

Just like i don't feel the year 2013 is the right year, being the earth age is around 4.5 billion. And the fact that you're carrying a baby for 9 months. but, when it comes out its like one second old. Maybe i'm missing something i don't know.

As long as you have a open mind, there are some pretty smart cookies that pop in and out of here. Knowledge can be gained here.


I know more about mythology and the development of the Abrahamic religion and deities [yes plural] then science and math.


We just know factually as it can be, everything wasn't created as written in a book never intended for any sort of history or science class. Not even the original people of the religion that wrote the books claim it was ever intended to be literal.

Because science doesn't always mesh with religion, doesn't mean we throw out science because faith or closed minds stop us.

The best advise I could give a theist is do the best to accept and enjoy both. Don't let a literal reading ruin both.
