The Pentateuch was written by 40 different authors and redacted and amended many times. Joshua never had any large army nor did he conquer the Canaanites.

Most of the Book of Daniel is borrowed from the north coast Canaanites as written in 1500 BC.

We cannot insert another book if the Jews of today are not using it.
So it was Moses who wrote those books.

If no, then it ain't canon.
Even Star Wars, Stargate, Star Trek have its own canon

The Jewish experts are the most reliable judges on these matters.

The mark is a warning to people who would want to kill Cain.
Genesis 4:15
But the Lord said to him, “Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.

I believe Adam and Eve were the only ones that God created.
