The earth is 13,000 years old and it is soon to be renewed when Christ comes

Cause Pangaea was only 13,000 years ago. Thats why it makes sense. The flood split the continents and carved the grand canyon. Billions and Millions of years are just part of a big conspiracy to hide god from the people. Satan is leading that effort. Beware Satan and his minions.
Tilt the earth's axis and you'll have a massive redistribution of land and water and season's will begin.

Prior to Noah's Flood, the earth's axis was probably parallel to the sun, with no seasons and no broken continents (pangea).

The earth's axis is about to undergo another axis shift very soon, because of the current magnetic polar shift, which is currently rapidly changing/switching poles, which will probably bring the earth's axis parallel to the sun's axis once again, thus season's will end and possibly the earth's continents will come together once again.

This is current scientific fact: magnetic pole shift, with a few of my thoughts added into the mix.

Define "very soon".
Cause if it isn't going to happen in my lifetime, it is NOT "very soon".

I will boldly say, within our lifetime. I feel very confident in saying this.

If the earth's axis becomes parallel to the sun's, if that happens prior to Christ's return, we will experience a mortal "paradise" once again, and when Christ's returns to earth, there really would be no more need for a sun, because Christ has said in scripture that he is "the light of the world". The sun is just a temporary mortal necessity. Christ will immortalize this earth and our bodies, thus there will be no more need for a mortal sun.

Think of Hawaii though, which is a nice 80 degrees year round, then add Christ's touch to it, restoring the earth to a paradisiacal state once again, beyond what we can imagine or conceive in our mortal minds and in our mortal world.

It's not all about gold streets and pearl houses and furniture built with precious gemstones, it's also about nature and the perfecting and immortalizing of it.

Imagine nature in a state of immortalization, where nothing dies, where flowers are always in bloom, where the trees and grass are always green, etc.

Hawaii and Okinawa are just tastes of what awaits us.

Even in the center of Japan, where I lived for about two years, the winters and summers were very mild. It was very tropical there, very nice place to live, especially the further south you went. The fruits and veggies were sweeter and more tasty, not like our produce here in the states, nothing like it whatsoever. Tangerinces in Japan taste like candy, Japanese/Asian pears are as sweet as anything I've ever tasted, not like the Asian pears offered in the states, NOTHING LIKE IT AT ALL.

Such a sterile environment would not be something I would want or wish for.
Without death you cannot have birth.
Without birth, what's the point?

This life has it's definite divine purposes. It's not over yet though, we still have a ways to go, we have a lot to overcome still.

What we are experiencing in this life is necessary for our personal progression, but at some point, within our lifetime, it will all be done away with.

Just like Christ's suffering had an end, so will the sufferings of this life come to an end.

Within our lifetimes huh? And if you find yourself laying in bed, a very very old man, dying, having known none of this had come to pass...what then?

What if I like autumn, with its brilliant leaves and crisp air? What if I like the sight of a fresh fluffy snowfall and walking on the thick ice of lakes?
What if I like spring, with fresh maple syrup and the first ephemeral flowers that can't survive into summer and the first songs of the spring peepers?

Hawaii and Okinawa are just tastes of what awaits us.
Even Hawaii has snow. I'd hate to live somewhere so boring as to never know the joys of winter.

Those are quotes from past LDS Apostles and other LDS members.

This particular statement is LDS doctrine: "Jackson County, Missouri is the location of the Garden of Eden".

Challupa...ask Katzpur where we (LDS members) believe the Garden of Eden was located and most will answer "Missouri," more specifically, Jackson County, Missouri, which is what those last few posts were about.

Adam Ondi Ahman (Davies County, Missouri) is 40 miles to the north of Jackson County, Missouri (location of the Garden of Eden) and is where Adam and Eve built an altar to the Lord, after being cast out of the Garden.

Well okay... I've never heard such a thing before, but then why would I, I'm not LDS. It just don't understand why you would have been taught that, but whatever. Since I don't believe there was a biblical Garden of Eden, I guess it doesn't much matter where it was. It was just a very different version than I had ever heard.

What year was that?

17th of Cheshvan, 1656 on the Jewish/Biblical calender, which is November 2103 BC on the Civic calendar.

Genesis 7
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened

Genesis 8: 14
And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.

Hurray! God is done killing everyone. Ok Noah... repopulate the earth.
God is merciful and just.

The people in the days of Noah were warned, yet scoffed at the idea of total destruction ever happening to them. The boat was open to anyone wanting physical deliverance from the flood to come and spiritual deliverance from hell.

The same message is being preached today. Physical and spiritual deliverance is being offered to us, through Jesus Christ, yet most scoff at the offer.

This earth will be destroyed and renewed. There will be no surprises for those who are Christ's when he comes..

Romans 6: 23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternallife through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We have been amply warned.

So we just get words from a 2,000 year old book as a warning? And they get some crazy guy building a HUGE *** boat and a rising flood as theirs? Umm..how is that fair?

I deny the holy spirit and jesus christ. I deny god. I deny satan, allah, juniper, mystra, bhaal and krishna. I like cyric and mask... But I am partial to black and purple.

Think I will be surpised when Christ comes? hehe.

Superstition, gullibility and blind acceptance of self declared authority were not my strong points in school.

Yes, great chapter, and one that I've repeated several times in another thread.

I'm pretty sure that dude, who's reading the Book of Mormon, if you look at him carefully, is blind in one eye (his right eye doesn't seem to be working), and I'm sure because of that experience he appreciates his good eye.

"There must be an opposition in all things". in order that we may be tested and tried in different circumstances to see what we do, to see if we will be faithful or slothful in keeping the commandments of the Lord.

YouTube - The Book of Mormon Reader: 2 Nephi 2 The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ

There will be time when death, disease, sin, deformities, all disabilities, ugliness, hot and cold, seasons, etc. will all be done away with.

There were no seasons in the Garden of Eden and I also believe there were no seasons prior to Noah's flood, because "summer and winter" was not mentioned until the time when Noah's ark rested on land and Noah exited the ark, so something happened during the flood. I believe the earth's axis tilted from it's parallel state in regards to it's relation to the sun's axis.

As Noah leaves the ark the Lord says...

Genesis 8: 22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

So I guess we'll have to wait until the "new heavens" and the "new earth" are created, before we will experience any kind of paradise.
