My background is in psychology.
I suspect the main problem is they do not want to 'believe' that evolution is true because that would mean they would have to relinquish their belief in creationism.

I agree, however 6000 yr old earth is another great delusion imo. The earth has only existed for about 40 yrs imo.

I think he knows what it is. I think he’s on the right track, although 6000 yr old earth is a bit off imoA dinosaur could be captured by someone this afternoon and it wouldn't disprove evolution. It would just show a dinosaur managed to survive somewhere. Several species have been discovered that were thought to be extinct.
Here's one that was discovered not far from where I live.

That mankind has only existed for 6000 years is one of the biggest lies ever, one of the greatest delusions of Christian belief.
You can add the fictional story of Adam and Eve to the list of lies and delusions.
While you are at it, you can add to your list the fictional story that Jesus rose from the dead after 3 days.
While you are at it, you can add to your list the false belief that the same man Jesus is going to return to earth someday.
This list just keeps getting longer and longer.

I have seen this sort of behavior in many believers. They do not want to know. They want to believe. I have always found it a bit blasphemous that so many believers seem to want to tell their God how he had to make the world.

Not even close. Especially since they appear to be modern works made by the local inhabitants after being exposed to movies and other sources that told them of dinosaurs. They were made for money.

Dinosaurs died out over 65 million years ago.
Mankind was not around then.
A Dino figurine would prove that they coexistEd at one time in the past.
And that falsifies evolution
