The flood

As I suspected, obviously they didnt look very hard, I found it in five minutes.

No you didn't. See below.

I also found the quote you cut and pasted that said it couldnt be found, about as quick as you found it, probably about 1 minute.

Then why did you claim it didn't "actually explain how and where they looked for it, or if in actural fact they even bothered to look." The link I provided did contain that information as you have just confirmed. Which makes your statement above a lie.

Which potentially makes you guilty of libel for accusing me of lying mutiple times,

You did lie when you said it didn't "actually explain how and where they looked for it, or if in actural fact they even bothered to look."

not to mention slandering my character in a public forum. Just remember, satan is the accuser of the brethern and the father of all lies. Whatever spirit operates within you, is certainly not Christian, in my opinion.

Your opinion is irrelevant. Stop posting lies and I will stop pointing them out.

This document was not published by the French Academy of Science (which means their reply still looks to be correct). It was published in Geneva by The Helvetic Society which was Swiss. What you have found is a french translation of a Swiss publication.

So still no evidence that the French Academy of Science published a list of 51 science facts that controverted the word of God.

Now that you have found a document published in that year if you want to claim that this contains these 51 facts perhaps you would like to show us exactly where these 51 science facts that you mentioned are. Because no such article is listed in the contents.

Just for a laugh I translated the scientific view on the Origin of Mankind starting on page 33 (I haven't done french for 28 years so I had to use a translator so its rather stilted)

The organized beings who populate the earth, owe their training and their spread only in a combined, inherent action in very things, of natural force and material.
The germs of all that saw carry the idea of kind in themselves of very eternity and are subjected to influence of certain outside circumstances existing in the shapeless mass of steam where from the solid earth went out, or spread in the cosmic areas; and when after training and cooling of the earth, they came to settle in his surface, those only were fertilized and developed who incidentally belong precisely found sounds influence one and dress rehearsal of outside conditions necessary for their development.
Here is properly technique: It is some alluvium originally formed by the endless atoms of material that, by one combination (it is expression of Buchner; Vogt calls it a blow of dices) either necessary, or fortitude, the first production plant forms went out first, then animal forms which, by an infinite suite of transformations (transformations) finally led to the monkey.
The first man went out of type ape; it sucked its first milk in the udder of one female monkey. The man is the sensitive being par excellence. There is no spiritual link between the men; the only outside convenience joins them. Each belongs to oneself his fellow.
Before anyone points out that apes are not monkeys in Zoology monkeys used to comprise of old world monkeys, new world monkeys and apes.

Rather simplistic but not too far off the mark and the central concept that life evolved in earth and the humans evolved from apes is still accepted by science and still refutes the YEC interpretation of the bible.

The following points highlight the inadequacy of Uniformitarianism, which is a must for Evolution to hold water.

1 Volcanism and Igneous Rocks
2. Mountains
3. Continental Ice Sheets
4. Sedimentation
5. Fossil Grave Yards
6. Coal Beds
7. Foot prints of extinct Animals
8. Living Fossils
9. Rock Formations out of Sequence

All of the above are fully explained by Uniformitarianism. Uniformitarianism states that the same natural laws and processes that operate in the universe now, have always operated.

Atheistically
the flood is a myth, its grand stolen fiction from 3000 years ago and never ment to be read literally.

the only reason its read literally now is because the primitive church dogma was that to murder in cold blood anyone who did not follow the belief structure. It was carried into ealry 20th century when every child was taught the god fearing ways [less the cold blooded murder]

now that we have evolved and not all children are taught the dogma we can get passed this assult on intellect. we are in a holding pattern and we do have to wait for the stubborn old people to die off before the population numbers will change for the better, with reason and reality taking over the old myth that has stood in society's way for thousands of years.

What is uniformitarianism and why does evolution depend on it?

1 Volcanism and Igneous Rocks

How does this challenge evolution?

2. Mountains

How does this challenge evolution?

3. Continental Ice Sheets

How does this challenge evolution?

4. Sedimentation

How does this challenge evolution?

5. Fossil Grave Yards

7. Foot prints of extinct Animals

8. Living Fossils

9. Rock Formations out of Sequence

How does this challenge evolution?

The current time scale was frozen in essentially it's present form by 1840. Thats some fact for you to wrangle with.

What are you talking about?

Incidently all of the above supports the world wide deluge far closer than it will ever favour Evolution.

How do these lines of "evidence" support the world-wide deluge?

All you have done is told me the main point of your arguments but you have not shown me exactly how they refute evolution and how they prove a world-wide flood.

Catastrophism was abandoned because it implies that god is a goof-up who has to kill everything and start over from time to time.

But is that not exactly what the WWF tells us?
That god screwed up and had to start over?

It isn't even the only time either.
Jesus shows it happened yet again...

Can I ask you how much you know about all of these topic from a scientific research position, your answer depends on the depth of the explaination. If you have a deep and thorough understanding from a scienitfic basis, you will already know the creationist poistion on all of these topics, it will take me hours to answer fully. The vibe in this place doesnt really warrant that type of effort and commitment from me, given that people here seem to accept your line drawing in this OP as evidence. I can equally claim your line drawing as evidence for the flood. I feel as though my time would be better spent eslewhere. If you are genuine seeker of truth and not a died in the wool brainwashed Evolution zealot, like many in here, I may be persuaded to supply you further information privately. Or possibly even starting another thread.

Not withstanding there are 100s of books available on this topic, how extensive has your reading been of non evolutionary science books? I.E non religious text

LOL - Thats all you got? It implies that Humans are goof ups, not GOd. Athiests dont get to imply any attribute to God in order to remove the facts of God's reality and actions. You goof ups crack me up.

God made us, are you saying God is so powerless that we are more powerful than God? So powerful God had no choice but to destroy us?

Plus Castistrophism proposes a series of pre-adamic worlds that God created and destroyed. No humans needed to screw these up, this was all Gods woopsie.

Also it contradicts the Bible which says there was no death before the fall...yet you have all this pre-adamic death and destruction.

But didn't god create humans? And if humans "goof up" then isn't gods creation a "goof up?" Therefore, god goofs up.
Yes HE did. And we know from scripture that He deeply and heartbreakingly regretted creating us in the first place. I rather wish he hadn't to be completely honest with you. But He did take responsibity upon Himself for mans sinfulness GOOF UPS, which where NOT HIS GOOF UPS or His fault, through Jesus Christ/Himself.

It's never God's fault folks. NEVER!

Aw....poor god. :sad4: He didn't want to create us, but he did. Man, what a stand up guy. And he intentionally created us with the capability to rationally think, and if we didn't come to the right conclusion, he tortures us for eternity. He's such a great guy.

If it's never gods fault, then why participate in discussions like this? You're already of a mind set, where nothing could convince you otherwise. It seems sort of pointless.

Are you the guy starting threads (in the Evolution verses Creation section non less) that reveals your extreme frustation that there is such a thing as creationist? Why yes I think you are. LOL. You're funny mate, I think you need to chill a bit or get real. Or both is good, yeah both.

If you dont want "mind sets" to join the dissussion change the freaken name of the freaken forum. EG EVOLUTION VERSE CREATION. :beach: A suitable new title would be "No creationists allowed where all insane here", and ya know what, we wouldnt show up. We're good like that.

You only regret mistakes... If God regretted making us, he admitted doing so was a mistake.

The fact that he had to come up with an ad hoc fix later on only shows how powerless God ultimately is.
