The god of the Bible should be seeking forgiveness

If the god character in the Bible exists, and all the unpleasant things attributed to it have any credence, it should be on its knees begging the human race to forgive it. ....

Why? Because He doesn’t allow evil to continue forever and don’t allow evil people to make life eternal suffering for all?

"Forgive me of my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me." That's jesus asking for forgiveness. All I know is when you forgive someone its makes you happy.

You do realize that it is the human beings that are sinners not the God? in the different religions a God or Buddha give us humans rules or guidelines we should follow, But we can't even do that without messing up. So no, the Christian god has nothing to say sorry for to humans, But humans should beg for forgiveness by the God

Buddha, Siddhattha Gotama provided his own wisdom. Other religions the rules are provided by prophets who claimed to speak for a God. No necessity to accept a God had any involvement in providing any rules for man to follow.

Assuming there is a God, why can't man critic the rules God provided. If they seem wanton should we not seek to improve them?

God should be perfect, above criticism but if we find reason to criticise, what does that mean?

A God is perfect, if not He/She would fall and become just like us human beings.
Over many years human beings have tried to change Gods words because they are difficult to follow, so humans tried to make them more easy to follow, then it is no longer words of a God then it becomes the word of a human being, and that one can not become enlightened from. A none enlighten person can never enlighten others

So we can assume were man finds fault with God, it is not God?

It's funny/weird that my ideal, a perfect God would find no fault with man. In which case any rules would be simply guidelines for our benefit, not for use in our judgement.

A lot of where Atheists make critique of example the bible, those areas are written by humans with human understanding and not the true word of God (IMHO) But i can be wrong of course

It beggars belief that some look upon the god character as good and a god of love. If it was a human it would be vilified for its evil character, prosecuted and either spend the whole of its life incarcerated, or even executed.

Now I await the excuses some Christians will come up with, in order to exonerate it.

Writing from a Christian perspective:

When it comes to judging God’s character I think there’s a distinction to be made between the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament (personified by Jesus Christ) – these are two different personas of the same being

I think the God of the Old Testament did what he had to do in that era so that humankind could advance into an era with a much kinder God, for the rest of history

I believe that the NT God is more representative of God's true character

I personally am thankful to God

You forgetting that God told humans that if they sin it will hurt them self. So no it is not God who punish humans, it is humans them self who do not follow the given guideline for how to live a morally good life
That sounds remarkably similar to how a bully or con artist would justify their behavior. It's not their fault they scam people, it's the fault of those who fell for it. But god did commit genocide. Things could have been handled differently, but he destroyed two cities, butchered the first born children of Egypt, drown the world, and ordered the Jewish army kill everyone, including the unborn and animals. If Jehovah had been human, we'd rightfully consider him more evil than Hitler, Stalin, and Mao.

I dont judge God for his action, but i know that if He meant we did become more evil and he gave clear message that he would destroy those who i not become good then he is in full right to do so Because it is not we humans who are in charge of God or Buddhas, it is the other way around. And the part of the two cities you say that was two cities where there was to much sin and hore

Even LOVE falls.

True, but how do you explain a angel in human form delivering a message.

So we can assume were man finds fault with God, it is not God?

Were a man has hate for God because God is hateless is to be the devil as God cant be hated, and as God offered the hate devil the same right but betrayed his position of authority.

It's funny/weird that my ideal, a perfect God would find no fault with man.

God doesn't hate, he must never stop loving or the universe would end in good and evil.

In which case any rules would be simply guidelines for our benefit, not for use in our judgement.

So true... faith is hope skepticism is death.

God is perfect. If you accuse him it will cause you to suffer because he can be passive to your transgressions.

.
Angels can take human form (similar to) because they are not allowed to show them self in their real form (today) they were in Jesus time, when humans did believe more then they do today

Same result though right? What man hates is not God. So I'm good. I'll just assume that everything I dislike about religion has nothing to do with God.

HATE is the devil, it's a bad idea to not believe and resort to hate instead of pleasure.

I don't need to make an excuse. You have a warped and twisted view of God that is inaccurate and I feel sorry for you.
