I went over to some friends this evening. It was like what I would imagine it might be like driving during Armageddon or a very pretty military engagement. The air was full of smoke. The sky was bursting with color in every direction. And the sound of explosions filled the air ahead of me, behind me, above me and on either side. This is the most involved Fourth of July I have ever seen.
