The world was simpler in my youth. We had Boris, Natasha and Alfred E. Neuman. We knew who the bad guys (and they were all guys) were. Rather than 500 channels of drek, we had three with some good shows.

Now? Alas, Babylon (but not in the nuclear sense of course)

There is much better TV these days.
I eagerly await Steve Martin's new murder mystery series.

Hokey smoke.
One of the best cartoons ever.
But we have modern greats...
The Simpsons, The Boondocks, The Critic, Mike Tyson Mysteries,
The Venture Brothers, The Powerpuff Girls (not including reboot),
King Of The Hill, Archer, Futurama, Robot Chicken, Samurai jack

Evidence of greatness....

The Simpsons? They were great in the past.

Rocky & Bullwinkle
Deputy Dawg
George of the Jungle
Bugs Bunny
Popeye
Mister Magoo
Flintstones
Yogi Bear
Super Chicken (short lived but memorable - I spent years repeating to myself and others "You knew the job was dangerous when you took it")

Most of those pale in comparison to my list.
But Yogi Bear did offer much material
to annoy our resident grouch.

Don't forget The Jetsons.

And Magilla Gorilla, too.

Walked the "MUTT"? For shame. Insulting the glorious canine race puts you in the doghouse, for sure.

What cartoon today instills in youth the love of opera and destruction at the same time?

Here we have not only opera....well, operetta....but
we also have that brilliant Cape Fear score by Bernard
Herrman accompanying looming murderous violence.
