Why don't you swim? Sounds reasonable to me:D

But one of the reasons that insurance companies demand quotes is that if they insure a car it has to be safe. And unfortunately many cosmetic repairs no longer have working crumple zones and other features that keep a car safer if it is in another accident. Future safety is why it is so easy to total a car these days.

They don't want quotes, they demand it be taken to one of their repairers. I haven't had to claim car insurance for years and back then it was get 3 quotes and they told you which one to use. Now it's just take it where they say, this company at least. It's gonna cost 2 or 3,000 more in rental car and taxi fees.

I know, I think that they realize that accidents that cause injuries are far more expensive. They would rather spend more money on getting a car repaired so that if it got into an accident that it would be safer. Please note there is no absolute "safe". There are also sensors and navigation aids and other electronics that a certified shop may notice and fix where a panel beater would only fix it cosmetically.

What I see is that the labor component of manufacturing
a car has greatly decreased, while for body repair it has
increased. This results in totaling cars being more cost
effective.
Several factors combined to make modern cars harder
to repair. Locals call theme "Japanese jigsaw puzzles"
cuz they're time consuming to negotiate all the pieces
upon pieces upon pieces. There are advantages to
this, eg, weight reduction, size reduction....all in pursuit
of better fuel economy.

No, it is just an example of how Muay Thai and Sanshou folks play the pinata game
The head didn't get kicked half a dozen times into orbit by what it thought was a mechanical piston under extremely high pressure so that is not an example of how Muay Thai does that.
