No matter how many times they try and deny it...they still fear the Mandate of Heaven. Which is why no Chinese General is allowed to be with his troops very long before they transfer him and they have made thier cities very Orwellian with cameras everywhere and giving people credit (to buy stuff) if they turn in a stranger, neighbor, family or friend for the most minor of infractions.
Saw an interview with a retired Chinese General...he discreetly pointed out the camera, on a pole, across the street from his hose, aiming right into his living room.... Big Brother is watching. They fear even the retired military folks
