I think it may be time for an early night. Droopy eyes that are having trouble focussing are a sure sign. Goodnight folks. See y'all tomorrow.

Winning by having all the excitement this afternoon resolved.

It's a windy, sunny, warm day, with high wind warnings for gusts in excess of 50 mph. So, we're minding our own business when we hear a gust of wind hit the house...followed by *crackpoppopTHUD* and the electricity going out. we go outside to find a pine tree across the power lines, which are sparking like crazy and had already set fire to the leaf litter and whatnot beneath. Gusts of wind are rapidly fanning the flames...we call the fire department, we call the power company...within minutes we've got the fire department, who hose down the fire and have it done in just a few minutes. Our fear had been that it would spread to the mass of deadfall that is in a large pile nearby, and from there the neighboring woods...That disaster averted, a bit later, the power company crew shows up, turns off the power, removes the trees from the lines, returns them to their proper altitude, and finally restores power.

We are now reaping the rewards of having gotten that taken care of.

Our dog won many treats playing the Dog Aging Project 1-2-3 Treat game. Three boxes equally apart. The treat goes in each box but she's allowed to eat only 2 and has to wait to be released. The target varies fomr 1 to 2 to 3 and then the next two rounds were different. We log if she went to the correct box first. She did OK but not perfectly sometimes going to the box she had eaten the treat in already. She now happily stuffed with cookies and is resting.
