I hear the Dakotas are pretty boring to drive through(and the lack of civilization is creepy).Bismarck is the capital of North Dakota.

I haven't been there myself.
All we have in Iowa is a crazy governor.Well, South Dakota has Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Wall Drugs (which is kind of a historical landmark), and the Wounded Knee Memorial. Plus they have that yearly motorcycle rally at Sturgis, which is a big thing for some. They also have a crazy governor.
Not sure about North Dakota.
That reminds me of what happened to me in North Dakota many years ago when I moved from Minnesota to Washington State. I was on my motorcycle. I could see a thunderstorm coming. I was taking the "scenic route". I was on a highway, but not a particularly busy one. My only option was to drive straight ahead into the storm and get through it as fast as I could. I had to drive almost on the side of the road looking down and to the right since the windshield of the faring was covered with so much rain that I could not see through it. I followed the fog line next to the shoulder.Bismarck is the capital of North Dakota.
