Do we need to supervise @John53 with @Dan From Smithville ?

Might be a good idea. Petting usually means something different here that Dan and I might object to. Well I know I would and I assume he would. For some reason we usually use "patting" when it comes to discussion of our furry friends.

I just googled it to make sure I haven't been misinterpreting people for 60 odd years. Language is a strange thing.

petting /pĕt′ĭng/

noun

  1. The act or practice of amorously embracing, kissing, and caressing one's partner.
  2. The act of stroking or fondling an animal.
  3. The act of kissing, stroking, etc., a person in a sexual manner.
  4. Affectionate play (or foreplay without contact with the genital organs).

Lucky you, it's not stopped raining here for the last 24 hours

It's all around me but just missing us now.

It was all the threads that seem to be popping up where theist are attacking theists for being the wrong kind of theist. They remind me of growing up in a house where I wasn't allowed to play with the kids down the road because they were Catholic.
We didn't have many Catholics in my neck of the woods. My parents didn't worry about who we played with as long as they weren't troublemakers.
