Good morning all.

So far this morning I put in a load of laundry, restarted the dryer, dealt with a can that would not open properly, use a wrench to open a plastic bottle of soap, wrote a note based on a security alert, did a couple of exercises, moved the sump pump that's draining our small pool before the contractor comes next week to deal with the deck and had some tea and chocolate.

My schedule for the rest of the morning is move clothes to drier & pull out when dry, trim a blue dawn flower vine so the contractors don't have to duck to get into the back yard, move money to pay the contractor first payment, pay bills, deal with some volunteer video and IT volunteer work and have lunch, tea and more chocolate. Then I go get a massage.

"Be strong", I whispered to my coffee.

That was exactly what I took from it.

Today I've dealt with on and off tantrums from Yudhi because he wants his reward without the work, chased Ares outside once, returned to a store to see if they'd take the antitheft device off they 'forgot' to(they did), loaded and started the dishwasher, sorted two loads of laundry, restarted the wash, aided Ares in changing his clothes, am now aiding Ares in cleaning(he wants money but struggles to understand "clean this" and has to be guided as "now pick up the toy cars. now pick up the dirty socks"), made hot tea for my sore throat, and am cooking some lunch for myself.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
Its actually been pretty mediocre so far.
I don
I'd be content if the mediocrity could last until evening. Maybe even a mediocre evening, if I'm lucky.
I am finding that boring can be good.

TRUE STORY TIME:

My life used to be very exciting and interesting. Now, not so much. So a long, what I thought would be boring day stretched out before me. But I broke a tooth, doing God only knows what (nothing, in other words) and suddenly things got very interesting. Another time, not long ago, like this week, I don't even know how it happened but suddenly my coffee maker, which wasn't cheap, was on the floor, broken of course, in several places. So I had to buy another one. Sheeze! I didn't buy another super expensive one when I found out how easy they can break.

I've actually been in some pretty unsavory situations, but still bored out of my mind...

You can get so used to some nasty things that they become boring, too.
