my wife kept asking, "Can't you just do x?"

And my reply was "I don't know."

After punching buttons both on the TV and the remote...and in a relatively short period of time...everything fell into place. Only had to check through the internet for the final step...allowing the volume and mute buttons to work...something important...;)

Flying back to france on a Ryanair plane. One of the cabin staff was German. The plane landed but was taxying, one steward said "please remain in your seats until the plane has stopped". Of course everyone continues getting up, getting bags from overhead lockers etc. the German guy yelled "sit down". That worked. Paul and i were in stitches at the german command in his voice

35 years ago, I was trying to get national ranking in beer drinking. Then, for some reason, I lost interest in volume and began to pursue quality instead. I'm not sure I achieved great heights as a connoisseur, but my tastes greatly improved and my intake dropped way off.
When I was in my 20s, I had a drinking contest in a bar with my mother's late husband.

I had remarkable tolerance for my age and size, and he'd been an alcoholic for decades.

We had the attention of quite a few of the bar goers, and most certainly the bartender, who was having a blast with it. We both blacked out. We both walked in our homes(we both got rides home) and threw up everywhere. My mom told me it was a tie.

After he passed, my mom admitted she lied. I won. The bartender had announced me the winner, but she was annoyed with us both and didn't want to give either of us credit.

I bellow out in hopes his spirit would hear "You hear that, you *******? I won!"

It wasn't a national ranking, but it was good enough for me. I actually liked the guy(most of the family did not), and I'm glad I could create those memories(or what little was left of them) with him.
I just want to be healthy for my age or perhaps a bit better than that.

Preparing food for just one is always a problem to me. But it can be done. It helps to have a good grocery available. I did it by cutting up my own produce when I could and eating it up as needed, but when I couldn't do that, I could buy it already prepared for a bit more.
I have some really awesome grocers. For whatever reason, I find motivation is more trouble.
