I know about alzheimers.......my mother is 101 years old and has been senile for more than two years. When she was 98 she still knew birthdays, addresses, phone numbers etc. for all her five generations of family. Now she doesn't even recognize any of her family and has even forgotten how to stand up or sit down. She never smiles. Caregivers come in and stay with her 10 hours a day. They feed her, bathe her, clothe her, change her diaper and wipe her. I'd rather die tomorrow than to live till I ended up like that. The good news.....she ain't in charge of a damn thing.
Neither was Reagan when he was in office.
It seems harsh to mock someone out of power & suffering from a terrible disease.

What does this mean?

White House Confirms Reagans Follow Astrology, Up to a Point - NYTimes.com

White House Confirms Reagans Follow Astrology:

By STEVEN V. ROBERTS, Special to the New York Times
Published: May 4, 1988

President Reagan and his wife, Nancy, are both deeply interested in astrology, the White House spokesman, Marlin Fitzwater, said today, and two former White House officials said Mrs. Reagan's concerns had influenced the scheduling of important events.

A California astrologer said she had been consulted by the Reagans regarding key White House decisions, but Mr. Reagan said astrology had not influenced policy.

Followers of astrology believe the alignment of stars and planets influences human affairs. Such people consult charts, based on their birth dates, for clues concerning many decisions.

Mr. Fitzwater said Mrs. Reagan is particularly worried about the impact astrological portents can have on her husband's safety. But he declined to say exactly how Mrs. Reagan had used astrological information.

From your linked article....
And the President, answering a question at a photo-taking session, said, ''No policy or decision in my mind has ever been influenced by astrology.''
At least they weren't consulting the clergy.....or were they?
Until we have an atheistic/agnostic prez, the supernatural will have a role in their lives.

Hmmmmm....looking at the differences between Raygun & Obama, I'm
tempted to give the latter a coupon good free one free astrology reading.

The T Party and Republicans have been all over president "Black" in stein since day one for his government spending. I guess they don't count a war as spending....he's ended one and is working on the other......just coincidently the longest war this country has ever been involved in. You wanna know the truth? Take a gander:

As I've said, even Obama isn't all bad.
Consider:
Had McCain won, would we be at war with Iran right now?

I guess I need to understand what exactly it is the "working class" wants, and who exactly are the "liberals."

For instance, did the removal of preexisting conditions in insurance not benefit the working class. Did the extension of unemployment benefits somehow help the rich? is this ramble a shout for increased minimum wages, less school debt? I am not sure what to make of it. There are counter arguments to nearly every proposal of which I can imagine, and that is just from the working class perspective.

is there on voice booming from the working class? I hear myriad ramblings, and am unsure of what you speak.
Removing the pre-existing condition problem is a good thing, but honestly, the working class cannot afford the premiums and high deductibles much less the remaining 20% of the hospital bill. Instead of owing 100K they owe say 25K still something they cannot afford to pay.

Same for the Liberal war on coal. Instead of a 150 dollar electric bill they now owe a 450 dollar utility bill.

The working class can't afford the additional expense to be green.

Same with raising minimum wage, they need to be gainfully employed not getting a raise working for minimum wage.

Probably.
While we could still win.
Obama is putting it off until it's a a total losing proposition. Rather like his inability to take on Congress. Obama is a politically correct dweeb who doesn't have what it takes to effectively oppose the power elite. Murdoch, Koch's, etc. I see all those people as indistinguishable from Assad, Putin, and whoever is now running the Mexican drug cartels.

They are all in it for power and Obama has nothing to say about anything important.
I wish I had supported the ***** hilarry. I didn't like her. But she gets things done.

Getting it done is what matters. Not what flavor of lies you tell before getting power.

We'd win against Iran? We didn't win in Iraq or Afghanistan.
And what has Hillary actually accomplished?

If so, it would be time to buy more Halliburton stock LOL

Cheney advocated war in Iraq all the way back to the late 90's. He cleared an estimated $25 million on his holdings while 4500 young Americans died and another 35.000 were wounded. That guy got five deferments to stay out of Vietnam. He should be executed or at least deported.

Let Hillary (& others), who voted for the war, suffer the same fate.

What?
Get rich by being a powerful US politician?

She'd have a way to go to match Cheney. But as riding the government gravy train goes, she and Bill are doing better than the other 99%.

We're in trouble taking on Iran now that the USA has squandered the military on Iraq and Afghanistan. Iran is the real threat. But Hillery and a bunch of other dufouses believed the lies told by Cheney, Rumsfeld, wolfowitz, and their ilk.

So now Iran has won the war in Iraq.

Carterish Christian wieny that Obama is at least he managed the symbolic victory of offing ObL.
