I looked up my father on the internet and found out that there are at least 100 Native Americans with his same name (I haven't heard from in a few years and was trying to get in touch with him)

You wouldn't believe how many people butchered my maiden name. I think it is very funny and my brother, father, and I once compared all the different pronouncements of the name. :D

Imagine trying to say Raghav, i get screwed over every day...

I used to get mad and now I have learned to laugh at it. It was helped by the fact that my married name is much easier to pronounce. ;) Since you will always keep that name you will have to do what my father and brother do, laugh at people who mispronounce it. :D

You know what was really irritating? When they would pronounce it wrong, I would correct them and then 5 minutes later they pronounce it wrong again. Does that happen to you?

When people ask me what my name is and I say Rizza, they ask me what my first name is and I tell them Rizza again. They think Rizza is my last name. DUH! Can you pronounce Rizza? Let me hear you. Go ahead. I can't hear you.

Sorry. It's the Vodka talking.

I can pronounce "Raghav", but then again I should be able to...it's another name for Shri Rama...one of the avatars in Hinduism. Raghav is a nice name...I can see how the white kids might have trouble pronouncing it though. I want to name my first son Keshav...imagine what's going to happen with that one. :D
