I used to tell my parents I was going to have three daughters and two sons -- Charlotte, Savannah, and Augusta, and Fred and Barney. :)

I only want sons, because there are no good girl names...

Wolverine, Magneto, and Jesus I wanted to name my children. (Because people would assume his name was spanish, and get mad at him when he said it was pronouced like Jesus Christ.) :D

Girls should always be named for the Mother of God and/or her mother. (I may be an atheist, but I like tradition.) Anna Marie, Mary Ann, Maria Anna, Annemarie, Mary Margaret, Mary Catherine, Mary Elizabeth, Mary Louise, Mary Ellen, Maureen, Moira, Miriam, that kind of thing.

I also like the old German custom of naming all the boys in the family "John." Johann Georg, Johann Heinrich, Johann Adam, Johann Friedrich, Johann Jakob, Johann Philipp, Johann Sebastian.

cardero was thinking of naming our girl Asagi from an anime Ranma 1/2. Then he said her middle name would be Cornflakes. Hmmmmm... Asagi Cornflakes Cardero. It didn't dawn on me until 5 minutes later.

*Shudder*

I would try my best to not name my children anything that has to do with religion...

One time some guy came to my job, and I had my nametag on, and he was going on and on about how "Hannah" was in the bible, and how I would someday have a son just like she did... It was creepy.

I named all my children biblical names.
One of my cousins named his sons Jacob and Caleb, and he's not even that religious. Just liked the names.

There are biblical names and then there are biblical names. It's one thing to name your kid Philip, and another to name him Lo-Ammi or Maher-Shalal-Hashbaz. :D

The woman down the block named her twins Sodom and Gamorra.

No, not really. I'm just running out of things to say.
