I hope I never have another lapse in dental coverage. I went years without going to the dentist, and when I finally got to, I felt like my mouth was the center of an excavation site as I sat on the chair for over two hours as they chiseled and hammered away at the years of built up junk (I was impressed that I had only four cavities).
You're lucky to have pretty good teeth. I get cavities if neglect my teeth just a tiny bit. And I get them cleaned 4 times a year.

This guy who works at a gas station I usually go to for a soda, he was talking about his weekend, and his emotional high of winning the championship belt in the wrestling promotion he wrestles for. Trying to be polite, I about said congrats, but then a thought crossed my mind: isn't congratulating a pro-wrestler for winning the championship like congratulating the guy who plays Hamlet for killing Claudius?

And why have we had no tributes to the Weasel, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan? I will NEVER forgot the time when Mr. Perfect splashed him with water and called him a wet weasel, lol.
RIP to one of the greats of of wrestling, truly one of the finest managers ever and very entertaining with his mouth.

Here, as "temp agencies," they get a chunk of your paycheck and you are eligible for no company benefits, not even holiday bonus pay. (sucks when you're supervisor goes around asking everyone around you if they want a day off or extra pay, but then to you sorry you get nothing)
It never really even occurred to me to consider them in getting me moved because they suck so bad around here, and pretty much send everyone to the same few places.

I worked for the same places. They generally have a higher hourly rate to offset the lack of benefits.

The company I was sent to through the temp agency, in my position as a temp agency worker, I was making less per hour than my coworkers who worked directly for the company (rather than being employees of an outside firm), and they did offer benefits, but none, at all, regardless of time worked there, to temp workers.
That's the nasty experience I was referring to (and another one that involved a temp agency lying to me about the work conditions they were sending me to, forcing me to admit defeat and come in to the temp agency office the day after my first of working and giving them my work restrictions form - they told me "may lift up to 50 pounds," already above what my doctor wanted but oh well I can do it I told myself, but in reality the work involved 200+ and 400+ pound buckets of food ingredients being pushed around).

You're doing it backwards.
Thru agencies, I made more than coworkers who were "captive" (aka "direct").
And because I was an outside contractor, I wasn't required to wear socks or a tie.

Of course they told you that "push around" is different than "lift". Too many play the game of less than full disclosure.

Long ago, I'd just show up for work, & do what was expected.
I eventually discovered a useful attitude to have in the workplace.....
What can I do to advance my employer's interests?
I saw them as my customer....they needed my service.
Work became better.

Today, all for larping, I have to finish getting the Ka Mate memorized, start working on the dance for it, do some touch up sewing on my surcoat, and get my dark elf makeup looking good.
As for the Ka Mate and my leading it, I'm drawing heavily from Khal Drogo in Vaes Dothrak when he promised his son the world. I may not be a 6-foot-plus wall of muscle, but I can still get jumping around arms swing scream-spitting raging pissed off if I let myself.

I really like going to a zoo and seeing all the animals.
But, at the same, I don't think anything ignites my misanthropy like going to a zoo (I'm only kind of there, after all, because we just sucked and failed and sucked and failed some more at living in harmony with nature).
Such a fun filled experience that is. "Ooohhhh!! Look at that pretty tiger!! Goddamned people I ****ing hate people! ELEPHANTS OH MY GOD!!! People equal ****!" :D

I agree with one proviso - sometimes it won't work out no matter what you try. That's happened to me. But I at least tried rule one "make the boss happy" as often as possible (Not the employer's interests which really does not apply to big companies, but my boss's interests).

I also had to study "how to deal with a bad boss" because they're out there.

For me it always worked because it was all about how I addressed things.

The weird thing is that sometimes I hate being ignored, but sometimes I love it. I haven't done the math yet for if I love it more than hate it. I think I should love it more.
