If bacteria and viruses were not dangerous then people would not be grossed out so easily, and we'd eat ice cream from the same spoon without complaining ever.

Imagine the culinary vistas that might open up. We could eat flies. And then we would not get food poisoning from UNCLEAN milk shake makers...like I did in Gloucester about 4 years ago...
That's the 11th Commandment.Yeah right...there is no such thing...because if there were...somewhere in there would be a commandment that said "thou shalt not be a staggering, soused, fetid Scot who sticks his arm in toilets.....

But I'm a heathen, so I don't observe it.
I'm talking about evo. If germs weren't bad, then we'd be like dogs and cats about it. We'd be able to eat stuff that we find repulsive now -- like crickets and worms and raw crab. On the other hand we probably wouldn't work so hard to invent wonders like ice cream, so food overall would not be as good -- but we wouldn't know it, so we wouldn't care, and we could clean ourselves with our tongues. Not sure I would call that a culinary vista

I appreciate your lack of specificity.Or we could still find these things repulsive and still not eat them....don't believe me...just go to Southern China and look at some of the things hey eat...or Beijing's night market..... I would not eat over half of the things you can get to eat there.....
I'm pretty sure the reason people acquire a taste for those foods is that they are very hungry and in need of protein, but I'm sure its fun to eat it in front of other more squeamish people, too.Or we could still find these things repulsive and still not eat them....don't believe me...just go to Southern China and look at some of the things hey eat...or Beijing's night market..... I see that #73 applies to neither of us.That would explain it..... but if it exists then you are also not observing the "Thou shalt not be a big smelly prevaricator" as well

well, there is that one about not coveting the things of your neighbors...seems like that would include pic-a-nic baskets and their contents...HEY!!! There is NOTHING in the 10 commandments that says thou shalt not confiscate pic-a-nic baskets
