Mother Heathen
The kids gave me an early Mother's Day gift. They made a homeade card for me .

The front: Happy Mother's Day mommy

Interior: #1 MOM est. 1979

They all signed it, even FH! The girls signed for the dog and cats too. :)

The back: A special thanks to Mommy. Thanks for:
1. giving birth to me
2. believing in me
3. taking care of me
4. supporting me
5. not giving up on me
6. being my mommy

I cried! The sweetest, sweetest gift I've ever been given - save of course, the gift of becoming a Mom (in 2001, not 1979 - ha ha)

Silly! It's for handling soil with roots in it.

Aha, a rooter shovel!

Here, use this with small roots:

I've been so exhausted that I actually thought today was Sunday already. I should probably use a calendar when I'm stressed out to avoid having to guess the date and skipping a day as a result. :p

That's pretty sweet.

Happy early Mother's Day, Dawny. May it be a lovely day for you and yours.

I found out yesterday, that in addition to my left knee being really screwed up, I have a tear in the cartilage in my right knee. And for the past few years I've assumed the pain in my right knee is from it supporting most of my weight. I just remember which doctor it was that took that x-ray three years ago and club him in the head with my cane for not sharing that vital piece of information with me.

My husband's gran passed away yesterday, we will miss her...

I might not post much on the forums... I'll be gone in two weeks as well so... Yeah.

The same magical thing happens when you carefully pour your coffee from the French press as when you add yoghurt to a nice hot curry.

I saw two guys whom I haven't seen since I was 17. Neither of them looked any different, to the point where they had the same hairstyle and everything. It seems... kind of odd to see people who haven't aged a day.

I'm thinking about going to the library today. I really need some fiction to read just so I can read something to enjoy it.
