I started buying all my books online. It was considerably cheaper than even renting from the bookstore. And fortunately my teachers weren't really picky about what edition of a book you have asking as it's one or two editions from the current since there aren't any significant differences anyways. Anymore, text books are highway robbery.

Really?
I stopped buying books online when I realized shipping costs were not worth it and book shops can make cheap prices...

Btw shipping costs are high because of the icredible speed of the mailing service....so quality has costs...:p

The concept goes back at least to before the Civil War
(Standard & Poor's).
I'll kill them all regardless if they wear blue or grey. "Oh, you don't have an on demand loan card that makes us money? You're obviously a shady person not worthy of trust or Mamons blessing."
Why is it not legal to shove a rusty nail through the eyes of a banker when not having a credit card (or "not enough of them" as has been my case) has been used as a mark against me?

Here, if I paid any shipping at all, its still way cheaper than renting out buying from a bookstore.

Without credit ratings, many wouldn't get credit without
pledged property....which is very inconvenient.

I mean, it all comes down to Philosophy anyway. Do they know for a fact that someone with a high credit score won't eventually default, while someone rebuilding credit who may have learned their lesson will?

Oh well.

I have a very hard time because I was laid off from work years ago (before the recession) , caused a slip, had a medical problem before I recovered that caused additional slips, life happens, struggles with health and work, and some other bull****. Like my car. It's great it's mine, but I now have-just as I was the cusp of a fair rating- two more closed accounts on my credit history and no one can tell me why. But it lowered my score.
And it's basically bull**** credit cards are what I'll need at this rate to get my score back up, because unfortunately it's unnecessarily hard to get by in life in America if you don't have a good score.
Impale all the ******** I say!

Not all will have good credit. And once bad, it takes
time, effort & planning to improve it. I trust you'll succeed,
despite having had some difficult hurdles.

And, in the mean time, it means should fate once again smile upon me and I need another new car soon, I can look forward to paying around 25% interest again, which even for a small loan adds up and jacks up the monthly payment. All because we're judged by a number that reflects other numbers that dint even reflect you're character.
It's misanthropic if I've ever seen it.

Oh, you're basically doing the popcorn, cookies, and chocolate bars of souls that are suitable for children. When you've decided to you want more from life, hit me up. I'll set you on the path of the soul business that is more like the cocaine and heroine dealings of souls suitable for those who wish and desire a respectable life. But because I think you're cool, I'll let you know success does come easier to us gingers (because god removed ours we have a "soul vacuum" of sorts that makes it easier for us to steal the souls of others), so don't get too frustrated. It'll come, but you won't get your yachts or mansions out island's in a week. It might take you a month or few. About a year if you suck at it, a decade if you are absolutely terrible at it.

There existed another website where it was thought if I talked to @Obsydian my soul would be taken.

So there Obsydian and I were, in an awkward situation.

Obsydian: "I can haz soul?"

Me: "Maybe."
