So is just about every other nationality that shows up. Thing is though, I don't think many American's look at Italians as a "different race". I know my ex-wife thought she was, but no matter how many times she looked in the mirror she was a caucasian

I know Norwegians, lots of them, mostly in Norway, that speak english better than most in the USA

You're talking ethnicity not race then.
Italian, and Irish culture were not accepted all that well early on, and a contributing factor to their issues was their religion of choice at the time, Catholicism. I believe German actually blended quicker.

Due the poor treatment our ancestors suffered from the British and Roman before them, @Revoltingest and I should take over all of the UK and all of Italy, and set up our highly experimental and potentially highly volatile states there. And the two places are far enough apart that when the does come for us to disagree we have plenty of space between us, because the Irish and Scottish don't get along well with others for very long, especially each other.
