I am indeed lazy.Lazy, thats all i can say, lazy
I am indeed lazy.
But ratchet straps are simply much much better.
See post # 62749.'
Btw, I do have difficulty remembering seldom used knots.
Speaking of....
I am indeed lazy.
Don Knotts in the role of the heroic Barney Fife.Who?
I'm paranoid about insecure loads.I think dollies seem so much quicker. Watching truckers fasten their loads, a dollie is done in seconds, a ratchet strap considerably longer. Same with removing the ropes. One tug and they are loose.
If one's standards are low, then one regularly exceeds expectations.Set yourself up for disappointment and you usually won't be disappointed with the results.

Ratchet straps apply more force.
I take my time using them...taking hours to properly
secure my scrap iron treasures.....proper routing to
avoid damaging parts....padding to avoid cutting straps
....attaching anchors for optimum routing....securing
potentially loose parts....inspecting & re-inspecting.
Otherwise it would be dangerous to the loads & to my
fellow travelers on the open road
I'm a caring sensitive new age kinda guy.Ok, I'll believe you
