An unsecured load.

How to clear that up would be one hell of a headache.

Should have used double or triple dollies in good strong rope rather than slippy metal chain ratchetted on metal.

I see the rear bogie hit something in the road. Bad driving, the driver should have seen the obstacle

Aye, someone is in big trouble.

Rope....you're a comedian!
But using more dollies is strictly for slow speed transport
( 1 mph or less) because each is individually steered....not
for highway speeds.

The follow vehicle should've alerted the tow vehicle
of the dollie drifting out of the lane. But I say driver
error...should've seen the obstacle, & avoided it.

I wonder if it would have done any better if they used a longer flatbed. That thing was just hanging there, and it appeared to be quite a distance between the cab and the trailer. The driver did avoid the obstacle, but the trailer didn't.

It looked like some kind of rail on the shoulder, or maybe it hit the concrete barrier. I couldn't tell.

I think he was probably looking around desperately to find his rubber underwear
We know the feeling as an "oh <feces>" moment.
Read the prior sentence as meaning conveyed
in a manner compliant with recent advisement
about Rule 5.
It focuses one's attention upon coping with adversity.

This morning hubby and i drove to the administrative centre in Perigueux to finalise our applications for residency permits.

The official was very pleasant and efficient and she explained the process step by step.

As she was explaining how the fingerprint machine worked she must have thought my look of interest was a blank expression so she asked, "have you never had your fingerprints taken before"
When i replied "no, never"
Her expression changed to one if pitty and read in her eyes 'what a boring life you Brits must lead'

As it seems I've stalled with crypto income, I thinking about using what I have to pay my speeding ticket so I can say I used magic voodoo money to pay my ticket, and getting back to the crypto when I have enough to not require massive price surges to come out ahead.

If one does something unexpected, this gets their
attention....not in a good way.

True. Though, I'm one to point out hemp rope is the gold standard of rope for the sea. If it can take the weight of ancors and withstand the winds of the high seas, its a pretty good rope. But I've never known a cop to appreciate finer points and technical things having things explained when they look at someone unfavorably.

If ever I take Mr Van & Mr Trailer on a sea voyage,
I'll watch for hemp rope. But I notice that HMWPE
rope is taking over cuz of greater strength.
