Ok, ok, now I'm feeling a little guilty that I wasn't being completely forthright about the weather here.
Yes, it's true the weather is gorgeous at the moment, but we are expecting a hard freeze tonight, with temperatures in the teens, and with the wind chill to -9F.
It feels better to just go ahead and admit it.

I went off to someplace in Detroit for testing & a physical before they'd ship me off to Viet Nam. (My draft lottery # was 34.) After some written tests, they announced the physical was next. I stood up, turned in my paperwork, walked out, & hitchhiked home. Lo & behold, I got a letter stating that I was "1A". I passed the physical which I skipped!

I was mostly clearing trails and cutting fire wood... and with 2 feet of snow on the ground... not a lot of trails to clear
But I hear they have an incredible bevy of beauties up there in the north woods. And they're all easy cuz they have a thing for lumberjacks.

That's a heat wave to us.
It got all the way up to 8F today!
I shoveled snow, & prepared some steel for welding outside. With the sun out, it was rather pleasant.

It was 78 degrees F here. Cold where I live is never below 30 degrees (well, almost never).
I shouldn't complain, but I do like snow and I never get to see it. But I don't have to drive in it, either. So for every complaint, there is a blessing.

Snow is fun to drive in. I like letting the rear end slide in order to make tighter turns.

I can't wait for the weekend cause it's supposed to warm up to a high of 10F on Saturday and 27 Sunday. And then the next weekend it's supposed to warm up to above freezing!!Can't wait for the weekend! Haven't worked a 5 day week in a while...since the holidays ....
Oh wow, that sux. I lived up north before, I'm down south now...and chilly for me now is 60 degrees.

Cold and snow is nice though for the holidays. But beyond that, it gets old quick.
