I was campus security for a college. I ticket a teacher because he was not parked in the proper place. He was parked on a sidewalk at the back door of the gym...did that twice. He . I asked him if that was a parking lot...he said no......I said "Thank you have a nice day"
Following week, he called me to meet him, and he walked me over to another lot, he then pointed at a car in the fire lane and demanded I ticket it. It was NYS Police car. I told him no, he once again hollered, screamed, complained and demanded justice or I should delete the ticket I gave him the week before..or he was going to my boss and tell him I as harassing him, and refusing to do my job. I told him that he too could park on side walks, fire lanes and wherever he wanted...IF he went to a plice academy, became a police officer and drove a patrol car...because per vehicle and traffic laws of the state of NY that police car can do whatever it wants...but if he did not do that and parked his car on the sidewalk again, I'd have him towed.....and of course, as he stood there swearing at me...I said "Thank You, have a nice day" and walked away......
Irony here was ticket one, cost him nothing...it was a warning....ticket two....cost him $10.....he never parked on the sidewalk, behind the gym again
