Marmaduke is a dog (well are cartoon dog) and thus superior to cartoon humans.

You cannot honestly tell me that Marmaduke is a good cartoon.
He isn't even qualified to sniff Huckleberry Hound's hind end.
And he's certainly no Brian Griffin, Droopy, or Santa's Little Helper.

It needs a meme that is a Ricky Gervais quote.
Amd a story I read reminded me of him, reading people hating on a childrens museum for having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich restaurant with it, even though the restaurant isn't attached to the museum, isn't a part of the museum, doesn't have an extensive pb&j menu despite the name, and exposes those who are allergic to nuts no more or less than some of the other restaurants in the food court thingy already are.
