I've been stabbed accidentally.
I assume having it done purposely won't be fun either.
I wouldn't quite put it on par with being stabbed. However, there is the adrenalin rush, the flood of dopamine and other feel-good-happy brain chemicals, and (sometimes) a sting that makes you feel alive. I also tend to get really horny from it.
Common! I bet you'd look cool with something like this:

People I know would look at me, & fall down laughing hysterically.

For my midlife crisis I got my ears pierced eschewed the red sports car and kept my lovely wife. Fortunately I was working for a small company in Berkeley at the time.

I got hit in the eye accidentally.... and I have to agree... I am pretty certain having it done on purpose would not make it feel any better... nor would it have made the subsequent surgery any easier either

At least if it's an accident, you don't see it coming. But if it's on purpose, then there's the horrible dread leading up to it.
In case you haven't figgered it out by now, I am a cowering sissy regarding injuries....especially in certain areas, eg, eyes, teeth, special places. About the only claim I may lay to being a real man is my vast Hawaiian shirt collection.

I am to as it applies to eyes...... and let me tell you all the eye stuff I dealt with in 2014 didn't make things any better

Cat is at the vet until tomorrow, I miss him... We're going to a friend's though, so hopefully it keeps me occupied till we get him back.

And I'm counting the days for Suikoden and Suikoden 2 to come out on PSN here. Americans got theirs last month, we were supposed to get it this month but got slightly delayed to the 4th of Feb. And of course then there's going to be Majora's Mask on the 13th IIRC. Ohhh it's on Friday... Spooky. :p
