I hope I never cease being angry over the outrage of having to have a credit card in any situation even though I have physical cash and checking account with more than enough to cover the expenses.
It's a system that forces us to take on debt. Except I don't think I'll start by going Mortal Kombat. I'm going to do something like the Punisher with the steak, blow torch, and popsicle. All sorts of psychological torture to leave a unharmed body when it comes time to break that.

Its the ding dang knee they want to replace...and the weather......and it wakes me up a few times a night....ouch
I'd go for it. I would if I could, but I have yet to find a doctor who will do it for someone my age (though I'm taking down names next time I see a story about it). Being pain free I assume must be pretty great.

You needn't go into debt just cuz you use a credit card.

That's still extra **** that shouldn't be forced upon people.
And it is debt. You are paying your debt off every month because you do owe a bank money after you use one.
In poker we call a similar concept the rake. The house taking a pinch of each pot won. Except banks are even more insidious. They charge merchants to process the transactions, they get money from consumers for using them, perpetually raking income in because our society unfairly punishes people who do not consent to that system or desire to have it forced upon them.

How is it forced upon you?

Meh....debt not carried, ie, temporary, is a stretch.

I get charged a percentage by our credit service bureau.
I don't have to take credit cards. But I find it useful to do
so, & worth the cost.
There's a huge difference "being forced to" & "feeling
compelled to".

There are times my credit goes down because I don't have enough credit. It only got a recent boost because my car was beyond me to solve, and I didn't have enough at the time but needed my car so a loan it was. And I paid it off, ahead of time even. But I still have a few "derogatory marks" because I don't have any lines of credit.
That effects things like being able to rent an apartment or secure a mortgage for a house. It effects me being able to get loans for things I need immediately but don't have money for at that time.
And having a credit card, rental cars aren't the only that are off limits if you don't have a credit card, and I've been proving for years that many "credit card only" things and places will take debit. But sometimes it won't.

If I want a place to live it's being forced to if I want to get past needing a cosigner.

That's why naps exist.
Adam invented them later in life, when Eve kept
waking him up to discuss their relationship.

Interesting.......last week Mrs Wu got mad at me jsut before bedtime and stopped talking to me. I went to bed at 11:00 and was asleep by, no later than 11:15. Normally I go to bed, she comes in later, wakes me up and starts talking and I am lucky if I am able to get to sleep by 12:00.......
Am I wrong for thinking I need to get her mad at me more often before bedtime?

It's a problem if one doesn't get & maintain good credit.
You've no right to get the benefits of good credit without
attaining it. I recommend doing what it takes.

BTW, you can rent U-Haul vehicles without a credit card,
but it involves leaving a deposit to encourage returning
the rental.

Without perpetual anger we'd still have slavery and the feudal system.

No, that is actually rather wrong....anger yes, or outrage yes, or frustration yes...perpetual no......

TAke it from one who had lots of anger once...suppressed anger....it is not the way to go

I've rented a Uhaul without a credit card.
And a place to live shouldn't be considered a privilege of taking on a system of debt. That isn't asking for ultra low interest rates or other things that are oh well and whatever when you don't care about money. My credit shouldn't be lowered or have "derogatory remarks" because I don't have any credit. But yet that goes on with my credit score. Every source I check tells me I need to go into debt. I need to use credit. I must start making more monthly payments even though I have no other real reason or need, except to avoid the punishments of not doing this bull****.

If you don't exercise credit, then you have no
record of credit, which makes you a higher risk
than someone with a good credit history.

You don't have to go into debt. Just use credit
cards, & pay'm off quickly. Before you know it,
your rating will be heading towards 800.

It took a lot of anger for a good duration of time in India to get things shaken up before Ghandi (and riots that had the English considering withdrawing even before Ghandi volunteered to be a human pinata). It's been decades of anger that has gained LGBT rights.
Anger is sorely an undervalued thing in society.

I shouldn't have to do this to get a place to live. I shouldn't have to contribute to a banks financial gains as a part of living, and perpetually going into debt, just to have a place to live.
