They want money.

How about asking for a photocopy?

Many years ago we had an antique valve amplifier sans manual. The company had gone the way of the dodo but i discovered the founder of the company online and asked if there was a manual available. No, sorry but i will send you a photocopy... Lovely man.

The purpose of an auction is to get as much
as possible from the bidding population.
Sometimes, this makes things cheap.
It's how I buy many things today.
Thank you. I didn't mean to put you to the trouble of explaining. In exchange here is something I have noticed about things for sale on e-bay:

Some clever people selling a used product on ebay will open about 10 accounts all selling the same thing. Sometimes these will all show up in the same search page. They'll have a slightly different image, so it looks as though there are ten sellers. They'll offer slightly different prices, to make it look like there is competition. Each account will show 2 positive ratings exactly.

Also: there will be no way for you to report this on e-bay.

I've seen that too, especially with Chinese sellers.

Do you think its worth their trouble? In this case it was an item selling new for 100$, compared to the ebay used item. Most of the accounts were seeking 30$ and one was priced high at 95$ -- all the same used item and seller I think.

Seen something interesting on Amazon too. Product for sale saying "Made in the USA" you buy them, they get to your house, and right on the box or package they say "Made in China"

Not that big a deal when it is masks, but it is a big deal when its a network signal extender that tries to make your network a public network, open to all, no matter what you do...that is a big deal
