December 22 we will find out.
New Spiderman movie....
I'll watch all Spiderman movies, but I find that quality has suffered
progressively. Toby Maguire is best. Garfield is OK. But after
these, the franchise became mere part of the Marvel Universe
hodge podge of gratuitous action, & being more of an amusement
park roller coaster. Sam Raimi, Toby, & Danny Elfman are the best
combination to make these movies.
BTW, they also made Darkman....one of my favorite not-so-super
hero movies. (Darkman's super power is being a burn victim.
But Liam Neeson has a particular set of skills.)

Even before the films Spiderman is a comic series which keep rebooting. To be canon the films have to pick material from that one rebooting story. He discovers he's spiderman. His uncle Ben dies, then he fights a few weird mutants, fights doc Oct., fights the gremlin who always turns out to be his best friends dad, and then his best friends becomes the gremlin. Sometimes his girlfriend dies, sometimes not. It goes round and round, and Marvel keeps selling the same comic series redrawn. There is only one canon story about Peter Parker, and now and then the comics start over with new artists telling the same story and maybe a few updated technologies such as digital watches and touch screens.

Digital watches....a sure sign of society's downfall.

We've gone way beyond that. Now my watch tells me that I'm still alive, chronicles my health signs, suggests that I should exercise and pretty soon no doubt will tell me how to vote. I am but a minion in the hands? paws? claws? of our overlords who use digital watches to control us.

That is a reasonable summary of the ever changing, stays the same Spiderverse.
