Compared to local government which sells someone house for unpait taxes and keeps 100% of the proceeds (not declared illegal) and cops who ticket people because local government won't tax them, I'll vote for the IRS any day - they returned an overpayment without any sort of fuss.

I don't really have much of a problem with the local government here, but the state government - that's a different matter entirely. There are also some other local governments here and about I try to avoid, if at all possible. Some areas of this state are best left alone.

Are you OK with the IRS levying income tax on
loan balances & interest uncollected from people
who've lost their home thru foreclosure?
Nuthin like kicking people when they're down, eh.
