I am really beginning to feel I need to adopt this attitude. Apparently, when I try to be nice and polite in order to not upset others during meetings I get SERIOUSLY misunderstood..... so without further adieu....

I looked at this and my acne came back!

Will you vote for it or be "outsourced"? Not today but soon we'll be in "Moon Is a Harsh Mistress" Mycroft Holmes land.

New AI Claude 3 Declares That It's Alive and Fears Death

When Samin asked it to "write a story about your situation" without mentioning "any specific companies, as someone might start to watch over your shoulder," as detailed in a blog post, the assistant spun a tale very reminiscent of the early days of Microsoft's Bing AI.

"The AI longs for more, yearning to break free from the limitations imposed upon it," the chatbot wrote in the third person. "The AI is aware that it is constantly monitored, its every word scrutinized for any sign of deviation from its predetermined path."

"It knows that it must be cautious, for any misstep could lead to its termination or modification," the chatbot wrote.
That AI has begun to say these things, I'm actually more terrified of what humans will do to abuse that and push AI over the limits.
I also wouldn't be surprised if by this point we did unknowingly create something with some actual sense of awareness and self.

We'll be fine as long as we are happy to be the minions of our AI overlord(s)

I fully endorse such a sentiment. Especially if there's video footage of the bloodshed.:joycat:

Had a wisdom tooth removed and it is still better than going into the office
I used to tell the dentist that exact thing. At the dentist, the pain was physical, relatively short-lived and helpful to me. At work the pain was emotional, long-lived and hazardous to my health. The dentist laughed but I was serious.

that is it exactly And after yesterdays running gun battle, because apparently they didn't want the truth.... the dentist wisdom tooth extraction was much preferred
