Not that I would ever advocate violence, but...well...yes. At the very least, some b***hslapping of certain persons is probably called for...

Well, I can't advocate violence since no one's life was threatened but if I were your dad,
I wouldn't allow your sister to bring friends over again for a very long time, if ever.

It's not friends. It was either her, her husband, or her oldest son.
My sister's friends though, I met a couple a couple of them when she had them over at my brother's house (something he did not approve of), and their only problem is they are just really dumb. Literally dumb enough that the guy friend thinks that all he has to do is hope and wish and think about being a successful musician and he'll get it, and he didn't want to hear what reality is, which is that many (perhaps most) bands don't last very long, even small record deals can be difficult to get, and that even recording is actually much harder than what most people realize. Nope, his "happy thoughts" are gonna take care of all that.

I also want to strangle my sister and her horde over how goddamned wasteful they are! I lecture people about wastefulness, I am very careful to waste little myself, yet these ******** waste entire cups of milk or juice, they are constantly forgetting stuff in the microwave, and it's not unusual for them to waste enough food cooked for one dinner that will feed two or three people. My grandparents were young adults during the Depression, and that "waste not" mentality of the Depression got passed to my mom, and it got passed to me, it got passed to my brother, but somehow it just did not sink into my sister's head, and when I lecture her kids about waste they shrug it off as if it's nothing. Too bad I can't ship them off to Africa, Ethiopia, India, or somewhere else so they can see that the amount they waste would be a blessing to many.

On a positive note, my job-skills training lady tells me that if a social work position is running a background check on me then it's considered a job offer, but just to give it a bit of time because apparently everything in the social work field moves at a really slow pace.
