My MidWest upbringing has me wanting to make metaphors to things I probably shouldn't here. But, no, they were decisively overwhelmed, rebuked and driven out. It was made clear they aren't welcome in Fresno.
But they're still somewhere out there. They're gonna be a small town Thursday morning. Hopefully it'll be a repeat of yesterday, though they may call for reinforcements because in Fresno they were a small tribe who was met by a horde.

I've known a few Baptist preachers here locally who seemed like they would align with that bunch, but I'm sure they've long since passed away by now. These guys were full-tilt holy rollers; I've known quite a few in my time. But I don't think I've ever met anyone from the Westboro Baptist Church. However, they probably have quite a few fellow travelers around the country.

Violent J of ICP and Eminen have both endorsed Harris.
Well, we've got the "I wish it were the 90s again" vote all sewn up.

I've never understood why celebrity endorsements mattered to anyone. I've never been sitting around thinking "This guy's tax plan would really harm my children, but Florence Henderson seems to love him, so he's got my vote!"

And now I wonder if Florence Henderson is still alive? Gotta go check the internet.

If endorsements were really effective the hundreds of Republicans including political "celebrities" who have endorsed Harris would have "moved the needle" a lot more.

That was this 4-day concert I went to a couple weeks ago. Tons of bands from the 90s, and earlier, who played Ozzfest and Xfest, lots of them playing their older stuff only, the 90s vibes were so powerful I even saw a shirt that said Play like Jordan, Party like Rodman.
Cypress Hill, afternoon of day one, had the best show until Motley Crue headlined day 4 and kicked **** loads of ***. But I am pretty sure Cypress Hill caused a small earthquake with their bass. And ICP was tons of fun. And the crowd response, ya, I believe Violent J when he says he wouldn't trade 10 Juggalos for 100,000 mainstream fans. Mainstream fans can't get every word right while also getting the timing right (while Ministry was one, only about half the crowd had the timing rights for the heys and huhs right during Thieves).
I did not wanna come back to the 2020s.

I think I got kicked in the same spot on the back twice, once yesterday and once the day before.

My back is objecting to life today.

I have had a bad morning that was a continuation of last night..... And it was due to an outside organization.....

But in an unrelated incident.... I got to say 对牛弹琴”( Duì niú tán qín - Playing lute to a cow) to someone this morning, who would understand it, and it applied......

The story behind 对牛弹琴

During the Warring States Period in Chinese history, there was a musician named Gong MingYi (公明 仪) was a master of the Chinese zither. People truly appreciated his musical ability, he basked in the applause and praise.

One day, he wanted to pass the time in the quiet of the countryside where he could practice undisturbed. He spotted a cow grazing in the pasture and he all of a sudden decided he would play a song for that cow.

He was so inspired by the challenge of moving the cow emotionally that he played his favorite song with the best performance of his life. Surely the cow would be impressed!

The cow just kept grazing and did not notice a thing. Gong Mingyi was stunned! How could that cow not be moved! What was wrong with it? How could the cow not appreciate such elegant music?!

Gong Mingyi tried several different compositions, each played brilliantly. Still, the cow showed no emotion, it just kept grazing.

Gong Mingyi by this time was frustrated and started to doubt his ability.

But a passerby, offered words of encouragement. Perhaps the passerby was a fan. “It is not because you are a bad musician. Far from it. It is just that the cow simply cannot understand music.”

I'm rather fond of a temperature in the 40s... but today it will be in the 70s, and that is to warm for this time of year here
