Bumped into someone today who started talking to me, and was telling me about his 'hypothesis', that the liberal media, government, and religion are stopping people from evolving into new species by 'making us breed with other races'.
I said "That's certainly an original hypothesis, but I've got to do... stuff. Bye, now."

True. They seem to be a dime a dozen here. That or I'm able to travel to the Twilight Zone on a regular basis. Strange things happen around me on a regular basis. I freakily have things happen around me that are almost unbelievable. A friend actually said to me not long ago, "Why is it whenever I go somewhere with you, there's nutters about?!!?". Damn. What did you do as it was going on?
Something similar happened to me not long ago.

It just seems clear to me that person doesn't understand evolution if he thinks breeding with different races actually decreases the chances of change.
They've been ignoring me when it comes to politics for years now. They don't know how to handle someone who supports gun rights and same-sex marriage at the same time. :areyoucra

[A tiny bit later]
"You seem to be interested in languages."
"I am."
"Would you like to learn Arabic?"
Panic.
"Um. Maybe."
"I'll book you in for classes."
Panic.
"Do you know any Arabic?"
"A little."
"Say something for me."
Panic.
"As-salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh."
"Wow, very good. Kayf halek?"
"Alhamdullilah wa anti?" (Mouth, I didn't give you permission to respond!)
Her mouth hits the floor.
"That was good! You even responded! Your pronunciation was perfect! If you said that over the phone, I would've thought you were an Arab too."
"Th - thanks."
"Say something else."
"Sami' Allahu liman hamida." (Mouth, stop it!)
"Really... wow. Are you Muslim?"
Panic.
An interesting day. So now I'm booked in for Arabic classes...

I still haven't been there; it was at a college, I went to ask about courses (I wanna do CISCO). Came out with Arabic. Not much difference...
I went to the Career Center today to apply for some jobs.
