I look at the times of the other firework complaints and think, "if only people would do them then". They are still doing them now and will probably still be doing them close to midnight here. And to boot...they are illegal here.

Oh, they started early, around 8:30 or so.

But they didn't stop until after 3am. Makes for a long night when you have to be up at 5 to get ready for work.

Frak's sake, I suddenly feel crappy. Why am I not happy? I don't get it.

Especially that I think my life is fine, the problems in the world are so much worse, yet I still feel unhappy.

When we hear a bang round here, it's either a firework or... not. :p

We have fireworks going off all the time due to being a diverse area (nearly 1 in 5 are "of a visible ethnic minority")... but ours are nowhere near as impressive as US ones. :D

Obviously someone depressed needs professional help but I wonder how each religion deals with it, what does it advice the followers to do.

I know that feeling. You need to be more extreme. :D

Heh, I don't think I have it in me.

I do manage to drive my coworkers crazy though; no matter what they're talking about, I'll argue the opposite. Whether I believe it or not.

Drives them completely batty.

But that's about as "extreme" as I get.
:(

I was blinded THREE TIMES while watching fireworks. Emily was all like, "Are you blind(again)?" I'm already blind, so why did they want to blind me MORE?! Hahaha.
Before fireworks, I watched Poway's 4th Of July parade, which Emily was in. Then, we had a nice BBQ with her dad, step-mom, and sister. It was fantastic.♥ We had BBQ chicken, hot dogs, salad(with a REALLY yummy dressing, I might add), cupcakes and ice cream. Mmm.♥
We also played Legend of Zelda: The Winder Waker(it was actually my game, but I can't to a lot of stuff in it).
All in all, it was a great day.

I decided I don't like using a tablet for the internet.
And when I got back my internet was down. And then my ISP got it up, and the new power box they gave me died, so now the internet is still out at my house, going on about two weeks now. And they actually expect me to pay so they can figure out what I owe while it was down so they can just credit it on my account.
And whats worse there is no real competition to threaten to switch to.:(

I am a mean mean mommy. I went to tuck in my kids tonight and give them the usual hugs and kisses and my son decided to put this huge stuffed animal between us. I told him I couldn't hug him with it in the way but he wouldn't move it, so I started to get up and he started to pitch a fit. So I reached down and moved it out of the way myself and bent down to hug him at which point he quickly kissed me on my cheek and grabbed my head and jerked my head around to try to force me to kiss his cheek. I pulled back and scolded him for grabbing my head and yanking me like that, I got up, told him goodnight, and left the room. He's STILL pitching a fit about not getting a kiss goodnight.

I think I'm growing out of video games. I don't seem to enjoy them as much anymore. I can't even finish my favourite series, Zelda. Skyward Sword is probably the best in the series and yet, I've never finished it nor do I feel like doing so. The only ones I play lately are Animal Crossing (only a few minutes per day) and sometimes Sims.

And it's because of games that I met my husband. I'm really at a loss. I feel like being present, not in another world anymore.

Edit: Speaking of my husband, I feel like I'm growing apart.

I feel like such a horrible person to be this depressed when I got so much.

Perhaps there are issues, but many would love to be in my place. Yet I feel miserable.

You could simply be depressed. I suggest you go to a doctor of some sort and see what can be done about it. Depression is a chemical imbalance, so if you feel like you have so much, and yet aren't happy, that's probably the issue. Get it looked at.

I think we should have a global holiday in honour of the most important part of computing--the "any" key. It could be called Any Day.

Great idea, Patty. The campaign signs for the enactment of the holiday could be "Any Day Now!".

Spent much of the day making and canning strawberry jam, dill pickles, and bread-and-butter pickles with the kids.
