What makes it justified? (I know that this is an issue the show dealt with.)

That's a tough call. I suppose individual people have their own definitions of what would qualify someone as deserving of death. Just like every law and moral ever created, it's a subjective issue. The law says you can go to jail for stealing, but why does stealing merit jail time? It's just because that's what someone decided, and they happened to have authority. There's no right or wrong answer.

I was actually in the middle of watching that episode during this conversation. :D I was watching it online. I just got through it. I'd still secks with Chase though. I hope he doesn't go to jail. I think he did the "right" thing. That guy was a douche and would have killed lots of people if he had lived.

Yes. . . Yes; Foreman turns him in and he gets convicted and serves a life sentence. Or gets the chair.
