Oh, this one isn't so meaningless or random. I was approved to submit an application to teach International Humanitarian Law. If I'm accepted, I'll train in March and will be one of a few IHL instructors within our region. This course is unbelievably amazing and means alot to me.
Are all the billboards in Beirut in English?

I got three of my text books today and a simple scientific calculator for $500 bucks today. It's going to suck when two grand a semester seems cheap.

Most of them seem to be. A bunch of Arabic ones, though, for sure. And I think we still have the Turkish and Iranian billboards welcoming Erdogan and Ahmadinejad, respectively.Are all the billboards in Beirut in English?

Meowing I can tolerate. Meowing, yowling, and wailing in one is going too far.
Small story: I was trying to sleep while the cat wandered the house with that combination. Eventually she came into the room (since she was a heck of a lot louder). I hear her come closer. Then, I hear that characteristic sound that cats make when they jump up. I open my eyes, and she's right in my face. I ask her what she's doing. She jumps off and leaves the room, but not without resuming the meyowailing.

I went out to have dinner and they gave me a burnt steak. I complained and they gave me a free dessert(I didn't want to sit there and wait for another one that might be worse). Then I come home, only to find that I can't access the forum. It took two hours but I am back on. Did not realize I would miss it that much.

I just watched makeup tutorials and wrote a poem about words to occupy my time. I've missed the random, meaningless announcements thread! I've been looking forward to posting about my meaningless mishaps all day.
This thread is slowly becoming my therapy.
