Great I have a stink bug flying around like crazy...I never seen one fly so fast. I usually catch it with a tablespoon and dish soap in a cup...put the soap on the tablespoon and it sucks it up then flush it down the toilet...but I can't find it. They buzz right by you too sometimes!

I gotta go find it...but this one is fast, I'm scared. lol

Went to bed at 3am and up at 7am. Just waiting for some work, one great thing about working at home.:beach: I do want a nursing job though, you think it's easy finding one these days, it's not. After working in a nursing home fresh out of school, nobody wants me, except of course nursing homes. I don't know if I could do it again, they are so short handed and run me to the bone.:( After telling my boss "go ahead and fire me I'm doing my best" and she did, I went through a deep depression, she couldn't see how hard I was working and wanted MORE and MORE out of me...I felt my blood boil to my forehead when she asked me AGAIN to speed up on my med pass when there was only ONE aid and there should of at least been 2 and I was helping him out because I had like 3-4 fall risks, plus I'm nice like that!! I should have just said "I quit!" It would have made it so much easier to fill out applications. I do have a meeting with a doc working on the GI floor on the 14th in a hospital...it's not a formal interview according to the guy who seen my app online, he called it a "preliminary." Whatever. I guess I gotta brush up on my knowledge. haha Wish me luck, ONLY if it's meant to be. ;) xox

Working a hall understaffed is so much fun. I used to work the night shift in a nursing home. Don't get me wrong. I loved the hours and the patients I worked with. But having 18 patients that you have to make sure are dry while still getting 10 of them dressed in less than 90 minutes just so the morning staff could sit around for 30 extra minutes waiting on the breakfast trays was a ***** and a half.
So I do hear you.

Yep, I believe that working in a nursing home is one of(it's UP there) the most difficult aspects of working in any healthcare setting involving patients who cannot care for themselves let alone know their name, poor things :(. It's emotionally, physically, and spiritually draining. I tried SO hard but they wanted too much out of me!

Well going to the library to get some Nclex books to review. I know I forgot many things even though I just took my CEUs not too long ago...but it wasn't very thorough. So off to the library I go. I know I'll be there looking at other books...oh boy! Btw, I'm meeting with a doctor as a "preliminary" whatever that means...he/she may drill me with questions...haha. Guess I gotta be prepared. At least it's Med Surge..not a nursing home. This will be my first job in a hospital setting...if it's not meant to be dear lord that is fine, just let me find WHAT IS meant to be. Amen. :D I'm not getting any younger...pushing 40 here(I'm 37). Plus I have to find the place, I wrote the directions on mapquest...I don't believe in GPS's...that makes us too darn lazy...hey a meaningless random thought..I love it. I have LOTS of them...lol

One of my friends was harassed by some piggies last night. Apparently she is a addicted to crack and heroine, had joints, blunts, and syringes in her car, her and her Spanish friend both they thought for sure had warrants out for their arrest, illegally searched her car and illegally seized her cigarette papers and roller, and just tossed some trash out of the car and littered the driveway of the friend my friend was at.

I did 20 minutes on my elliptical yesterday and 25 min today... : hamster :

:slap: This hamster is going to get on my nerves soon enough, haha.:p

Due to my back injury, I can't do the weight training that I desire...:( Soon enough I'll be getting surgery. I use an exercise resistant band, I hope it's ok.

The screen on the Kindle 3 I just got not too long ago went out. It's so out that opening it up and taking out the battery and even unplugging the screen did not fix the problem of the screen being frozen and stuck on one of the screen saver images. After I read that problem is fairly common with the Kindle 3, I decided to look into something else.
I looked into the Nook Tablet after I noticed the auctions going for about $40-$70 on Ebay, saw I could root it to become a full Android tablet, and decided to try that out. Some of the apps don't work right, which I think because this isn't an actual Android tablet and because I think the interface thinks my tablet is a phone, and I really don't see what the big deal over these tablets are. I am dissapointed that the Nook does not have a network it's always connected to like the Kindle. The battery lasts for hours, compared to days, and I'm not too thrilled about a screen that is loaded with finger print smudges. But reading manga is so much more doable on the NT than it is on the K3.
I'm also glad I found a way to strip the DRM off the Amazon books because I bought ("leased" technically) a cook book (A Top Secret Cook book that is most of them combined into one) awhile ago that is no longer on the Amazon store, which means there was no way to get it on my second Kindle or on my Kindle reader app. Until I downloaded a few things, ran it through a couple programs, and loaded it to my NT without any problems and once again I have access to this cook book. It's a great cookbook, except I know the recipe for Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay biscuits, as given in that book, is incorrect and is missing a few ingredients.

I'm trying to talk my nephew into taking German in high school so that I can have someone to talk to in German so I can get better at it.

Oh no. I don't need it to talk to people. I need it to research my family history. Apparently, that is where the missing branch came from. Somewhere in westprussia.

I've never played portal, but i recently discovered the ending song "still alive". I frigging love it. It weirdly elicits joy and sadness at different parts. It's a delight to listen to. Who else loves this song?
