Well I have my so called "preliminary" today for a hospital job, like WOW, do you know how hard it was for me
just to get an interview or whatever(sigh) at a hospital! However I didn't brush up much on the Gi system, I will in a few. The restaurant didn't call me yet, he said that he was concerned that it's been over 10 years since I've served. I told him, "Well I do have 8 years of experience in the past and am dedicated to learning about this restaurant extensively, once I do, I believe it's like riding a bike...:biglaugh: Do you think that was appropriate? One other thing, the day of my interview I received a call from the financial aid office telling me that I am eligible for assistance with tuition for the massage therapy program(associates degree), I have a certificate but there's an organization where nurses go into hospitals and massage patients, according to the research I've done, it looks like they make pretty good money...not great but more than a NURSE's salary. Plus I could work on my own.
http://www.nanmt.org/ and an associates degree is required.
So what did I do since they called?(financial aid). Yesterday I signed up for 4 online courses, business math(yuck I don't know why I need this I took Math for nursing but I guess cause it's "business math", Personal Community and Health and Wellness, medical terminology(which I'll ace and wonder why that wasn't a requirement in nursing) and Infection control which I will ace and again wonder why I didn't have to take that for nursing, then Massage Therapy 101(I'm accepted into the program since I got all the anatomy etc out of the way) which we meet once a week for a few hours, the rest is online. God bless me for disciplining myself. I'm kind of excited though! If nothing else works out, well...I have this to look forward to. I'm so sick of doing nothing the past year...the last job really made me hate life for a while. Wish me luck on this preliminary thing...) Weellll better go brush up real quick. :run:
