But surely putting our money on the only religion with the Son of God in it is a surefire bet, right Kid?

"Right!"

Gambling is foolish. Unless, it's Spades. Jesus was a king, right?

Jesus trumps all earthly kings..:)

"..the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop" (Luke 8:15

It's not surefire bet.

Either Christianity is right. Or Judaism. Or Islam. Or Buddhism. Or Zoroastrianism. Or ...

Let's say there are 10 different religions with 10 different heavens.

You're chance of betting on one of them being right is only 1 out of 10 in that case. Now, it so happens, there are hundreds, if not thousands of religions, and more than 30,000 different Christian denominations. Some of these Christian denominations might be heretical and are led by the devil. They would surely take you to Hell. So... all in all, your chance of being right might be only 1 of 40,000 (or more, maybe we haven't figured out the right religion yet).

What if the Church of Final Atonement is true and the Shriek is real? What would you do? Would you go to a pilgrimage and plead to it, or would you perhaps join the cruciform cult?

What if all religions are the wrong way? And the right one hasn't graced us with its presence as of yet?

Any religion without the Son of God in it can't be right, so don't bet on them..;)

As for different "christian" denominations, hitching your horses to their wagon won't do you a blind bit of good if most are going up the spout.
It's a personal thing and we need them like we need a hole in the head-
Jesus said:-"You have one teacher, me" (Matt 23:10)
"Work out your own salvation.." (Philp 2:12 KJV)

That's your opinion and belief. Just because you believe that doesn't make it true. Sorry. You might feel that you're special and are the only one with connections to God, but you're mistaken. We all have that connection. And we all can find the truth on our own.

I like Sid Vicious' version better. Can't post the vid now. And it has a violent end. Sort of Sid's life in a video. lol

My brother-in-law was a Hell's Angel and I got on great with him. My sister did too at first, but after a couple of years marriage she decided she didn't like his smoking, boozing and gambling, so she started nagging him nonstop.
But he didn't mind at all and simply used her nagging as a welcome excuse to go out with his mates, haha..:)

As for religions, only Jesus did miracles and stuff that even David Blaine can't do-

"..even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."- John 10:38

Yeah I lurved the Sex Pistols because they had a raw rebellious quality that Jesus would have liked..:)

"Jesus saved you from the empty way of life handed you by your forefathers" (1 Peter 1:18 )

This guy too was a fearless rebel-

A miracle is a matter of perspective mixed with a desire to have witnessed the unthinkable. It's all point of view, magic.

I'm no longer a fearless rebel. More like a cautious dissident who likes occasional excitement.

Jesus's 37 miracles blew peoples socks off, that's why a kid from a woodwork shop went on to become the most famous person on the planet..:)

LOL! Me too, after I hit a patch of black ice, and did a 360 in the middle of the highway, and then went off backward. Walked away with just a bump. :D

Think EYEWITNESSES!
I'm prepared to take their word for it just as I'm prepared to take the word of eyewitnesses who saw you hit that black ice..:)

LOL! My ice slide is not a miracle, nor does it matter if you believe it.

Saying there are eyewitnesses - by Bible story writers - does not make such fact.

There is no proof of any miracle done by Jesus, or his followers, in the Bible, nor that there were actually any witnesses to such events.

You of course are welcome to believe such, - but don't expect the rest of us to do so.

After the gospels were written, NOBODY, not a single solitary person, ever came forward from the people or the priests or the Roman garrison to say "Nah it's all hogwash, it never happened!"

Obviously they knew their claim would never fly because Jesus was TOO BIG to have been a made-up myth..:)
