The Theory of Evolution is supported by the evidence.

There are a number of Christian creation scientists that work in the field of science.

I asked you to present me a single advancement made in the field of "creation science".

If you cannot do that, then you cannot claim that creation science is even a real science.

Just curious DanMac WHY is this not right:

Creationist students, listen to me very carefully: There is evidence for evolution, and evolution is an extremely successful scientific theory. That doesn't make it ultimately true, and it doesn't mean that there could not possibly be viable alternatives. It is my own faith choice to reject evolution, because I believe the Bible reveals true information about the history of the earth that is fundamentally incompatible with evolution. I am motivated to understand God's creation from what I believe to be a biblical, creationist perspective. Evolution itself is not flawed or without evidence. Please don't be duped into thinking that somehow evolution itself is a failure. Please don't idolize your own ability to reason. Faith is enough. If God said it, that should settle it. Maybe that's not enough for your scoffing professor or your non-Christian friends, but it should be enough for you.

It from here. The author is one of those CS folks you are so fond of.

Luke 6: 26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

That is really a comforting comment. Thank you. I must be right on track.
I wonder if your god is honestly fooled by your sad attempt at self confirmation.

Cause I can tell you flat out, right now, that if he is fooled by your willful ignorance and self martyrdom, he is not worth two rat farts in a hurricane.

I've been thinking about Danmac and his ilk. I think from his point of view, and in terms of his goals, he wins a discussion like this if he manages to emerge from it with his faith intact. That's all. He doesn't care whether he's logical, honest, coherent, whether anyone else thinks his argument makes sense, or anything else. If he can stick in the thread and come out of it still believing what he went in, he considers it a victory.

"Shallow victories are better than no victories at all" type mentality?

So, Danmac, just to recap where we are so far:

After spending several pages arguing that you were wrong, and refusing to admit the error you accused yourself of, your only objection to the ToE is something that you cannot define or identify, and which you have no evidence of whatsoever? Is that about right?

btw, any interest in hearing the evidence that supports ToE?

That's a puzzler. Your guess seems as good as any.

How bout creation scientists? Like Hugh Ross for example.

There are a number of Christian creation scientists that work in the field of science.

Danmac - just to be sure that you get this, I'm going to post it for the umpteenth time:
There is no such field as "creation science", and there is no such being as a "creation scientist".

Creationism is not scientifically based, and simply placing the two terms "creation" and "science" next to each other in a sentence does not change that fact.

I understand your statement, Auto, and I think it has merit when applied to fundamentalists at large. Often, however, I think many of these guys see such overwhelming evidence and they simply decide to mentally "dig in their heels". Much like a kid on a playground that resorts to "oh yeah - well my dad can beat up your dad" defenses, these people are simply incapable of facing the hopelessness of their position.

The way I look at it, people like this really should be pitied, because they are not mature enough, or mentally strong enough, to face reality.

Be patient. The real scientists wont let us use any of the expensive equipment.

I can see an element of truth in "theistic evolution". I cannot accept one common ancestor for all kinds and species.

In case you haven't noticed. I do not give into peer pressure to follow popular opinion. My self esteem does not require an applause massage.

I notice that you tend to say stuff for no other reason than to get others to "revile you, and persecute you" just so you can get your warm fuzzies.
Like I said, if your god is fooled by such cheap theatrics, he is no god I want any thing to do with.
